Harry, Hermione, and Ron, squished rather uncomfortably underneath the Invisibility cloak, rounded the corner, trying with as much control as they could summon to keep their footsteps light and undetectable.
"Listen, Weasley-" Three pairs of feet halted, breaths stopped, looking down the hall to find none other than Draco Malfoy glaring steadily into the eyes of Ginny Weasley. Next to him, Harry heard Ron make a soft, strangled noise.
"No, you listen, Draco- this has gone on long enough," Ginny stressed, turning angry, pleading eyes up to the Slytherin.
Both Harry and Hermione had to hold Ron back from charging out into the open, announcing their presence.
"Long enough, Ginny?" he sputtered, voice laced with unfamiliar disbelief. "Long enough, oh right. Because I want the whole bloody Wizarding World to know about us!"

Hello all! I'm a newbie who has found some questions here very engaging. So here goes:
What Kind Of Instrument would best sum up the personalities of Gin?
Of Draco?
I see Draco as a piano and Ginny as a guitar.
The sofistication, sleekness, the high cost of a piano is what I identify Draco with; the reverence the sight of a piano commands is what I think Draco (for both his upbringing and him being a Malfoy) will inspire when he matures (hopefully). Also the technique, studies, effort and discipline it takes to create beautiful melodies by the pressing of your fingers is equal to the effort it would take to get through to his true self. But most telling to me is the central Do, key that is right in the middle and divides the bass and the treble neatly. I think he's yet to show the right side of the keyboard, the higher notes. Maybe Ginny will learn to play this intriguing blond piano so everybody can listen to something other than bass from him?
The guitar on the other hand, is to me more cheerful, you can make more diverse sounds with it and is far more accesible than a piano. Also lighter, easier to take care of, etc. Yet, we must not be fooled by this; there is a lot to be learned from those twelve frets and six strings. Lots of techniques, tons of chords and mountains of styles of strumming. Ginny can be a woodsy smelling classical guitar as well as a loud, rocky, "electrocute you" electric guitar.
Both very complex, the latter a bit more accesible than the former. They are definitely very different in all the ways that matter and that don't. Weasley and Malfoy. Poor and rich. Yet, Guitar and Piano: both string instruments.

I wish I could say Draco would be a punker. I can just see it - the tight black pants, the mohawked hair, the chains, the pins, the angry lyrics, the hot guitar lixx. And none of that poseur punk - hardcore oldschool. But sadly, I think punk is too uncivilized for Draco. I think he'd end up being a sort of loner, in a real school. Just because I always see him in those crisp charcoal trousers, with everything in place. *licks lips* Mmm, brilliant.
Ginny... Augh, I don't know. She wouldn't be popular. She would just be... average. I dunno.

Draco - debate. Ginny - soccer. Mmm, Draco debating... (*is debater*)

Draco - classical, so he can be smug about knowing all the finest, and because it's so sophisticated and elegant. Ginny - I would say Adult Alternative. You know, strummy-strummy-la-la type things, but nothing too poppish.

Ginny - straight down the middle. She sees things this way - in black and white, good and evil, that sort of thing. But the fact that it is a sandwich unifies the situation. They are opposing sides, yet they are still a sandwich. This symbolizes her relationship with Draco - opposite yet, together.
Draco - diagonally. It is an almost cumbersome, difficult way of piecing together his complicated views of the world. He wishes to see thing clear cut like Ginny, but the diagonal cut represents his hesitation to slice it down the middle, and seperate things in an orthodox way. His diagonal view of the world still seperates good and evil, but sees it in a sideways way which to outsiders looking for the vertical seems wrong.

Draco - Swiss cheese. With all of its holes, it is like him, with pieces of himself missing and confused and feeling like there is a void that must be filled. By Ginny, of course.

Draco would be a ferret, because if he was a dragon he would become so unbearably pompous I don't think his head could handle the pressure, would explode, and it would ruin his beautiful face.
As for Ginny, a fox sounds pretty cool. I like that, especially if she was a red fox for her hair color. She could slip in small places very easily.

I'd love for them to meet ^^ (Draco and Sirius) They share many similarities, don't they? I think non-DE/double agent Draco would like Sirius, or at least what he symbolises - a "rebel", someone who's had the guts to go against fate. I've always like Sirius as a character because he isn't perfect either, nor is he "sugary sweet". Draco might find him a little too reckless though, as opposed to the cool and scheming ways of Slytherins.

Yes definitely. Sirius would first have to meet a non-DE/double agent!Draco though, then find out that he and Ginny were together. He would be surprised but more accepting than, say, Harry or Ron, right? In fact, I could see him talking to the two boys about it and helping them gain a more respectful point of view towards D/G as a relationship.
What do you look for in a D/G fic--as in originality/bizzare-ness?
