I hope no one's done this before...I've seen couples in movies and TV shows that remind you of H/Hr... But I was wondering if there are any books out there with couples that remind you of Harry and Hermione! Just yesterday I read a book called How NOT to Spend Your Senior Year. There's these two best friends in it that reminded me so much of Harry and Hermione! Though if you happen to read it, neither of these two are the main characters... (actually the main character and her final love interest reminded me of Draco/Ginny, but that's another thing ) So what about it? Anyone know any books with Harry/ Hermione- alikes?

both of these couples are what i think harry and hermione will become. they turst each other they Respect and the lean on each for support. the jack, jed and harry are teachers who have been give great power and responsibility,(their decsion effect millions)they are smart intelligent men who are general humble. they all depend on their female companions (wives).
the women are alike as well. they are all strong,very smart,independent women. they are also very talented and passionate women. the hermione talent is not fully know and the other two are doctors, one a musician and the other is a very good Politician( getting people together and Organizing group like hermione with DA)

Shawn/Belle from Days of Our Lives very much remind me of H/Hr...best friends turned lovers!

Also, Cory/Topanga and Lizzie/Gordo

Other HP ships:
I probably am wierd for shipping this, but Dumbledore/McGonagal. I see Dumbledore/McGonagal/Snape as another trio similar to H/Hr/R, sort of. Minerva and Severes argue all the time and although they may seem very different are actually very alike.
Albus and Minerva, on the other hand, totally compliment each other. They bring out each other's strengths. They seem to be good friends. Anyways, I think that they have a very similar relationship to the one Harry and Hermione have.


Other Fandoms:
Luke/Mara-friends for years before they fell in love.
Jaina/Jag-They became friends and slowely developed into something more.
Odo/Kira-Friends for a long time before they fell in love.
Shakaar/Kira-Same.
Aragorn/Eowyn-In the sense that they bring out each other's strengths. As much as I like Faramir, he did not bring out Eowyn's strenths. It was after marrying him that she gave up who she was. Not sure about Arwen with Aragorn, but I really don't like her. I think that she did not have his best in mind like Hermione does for Harry. She only wanted him after discovering that he was the king.
Caspian/Lucy-From Narnia. Not sure why I ship them, but they were close friends.

i Agree with alot of you on the films but i thought Max/Liz from Roswell reminded me of H/Hr (shrugs) Anyway i don't know if any you had read these books, Northern Lights, The Subtle knife and the amber spyglass, Will and Lyra totally reminded me of H/Hr, Even Jess and Rob reminded me a little bit of H/Hr (missing) and Suze and jesse (The mediator) reminded me of H/Hr. I watched this programme caleed Jake 2.0, Jake and the scienetst reminded me of H/Hr (sorry, can't remember her name, if anyone knows, tell me please? Thanks!)
These are my opions.

I'm surprised that only one person so far has mentioned the Peter/Mary Jane ship,
I would have expected alot more people posting it but oh well.

Other couples that remind me of H/H:

Cory/Topanga:As everyone's stated so far.
Lily/James:Duh..as someone already wisely put it.
Yugi/Tea':I like YuGiOh and this couple stands out as like H/H to me.

Darien and Serena from Sailor Moon. Oh great they remind me of R/Hr too! They bicker and stuff!
But around the end of the first season, Serena was worried when Darien was hurt and she followed him around. And now they're together and stuff..........Hermione doesn't worry about Ron that much.

So I reckon Ron has a stupid crush over Hermes but Hermione's chasing after Harry. And I guess Harry is eventually gonna pick up on these.

I don't know if anyone mentioned them yet but...

1. Shrek/Fiona from Shrek. They love each other because of their personalities, not looks or anything like that. Plus both Shrek and Harry said, "But you're not ugly."

2. Heero/Relena from Gundam Wing. Just watch Endless Waltz and you'll see.

3. Yugi/Anzu from Yu-Gi-Oh. This is one of my most favorite couples of all time. Yugi and Harry are quite alike- both are devoted to their friends, both were bullied alot, and both have/had a father figure (Harry with Sirius, Yugi with his grandfather). Hermione and Anzu are alike too- they also care for their friends, they're both very mature, they've been friends with the main protagonist for a long time, and they constantly get in to squabbles with the "goofy sidekick" (Hermione with Ron; Anzu with Jounouchi). We also can have Malfoy as Kaiba, Ginny as Shizuka and Luna as Mai. XD But who's going to be Honda?

Of course definitely Scully and Mulder They're just elder version of Hermione and Harry. Whenever I watch X-file series, they never fail to remind me of Harry and Hermione.

I agree with all the ones you guys brought (the ones I know anyway) and I've got one too:

Gaia ( that's Guy-ah) and Ed from the Fearless books except Harry's more like Gaia because they both have a "saving the world" thing (as in they always want to save people) and they both are a bit angry (atleast Harry was in OotP). Hermione's like Ed sort of really only because he's the only one who's able to calm Gaia like Hermione calms Harry and he worries about Gaia a lot. Also They were best friends before they got together and they they trust each other (actually, Ed the only person Gaia trust).

This is but does anyone else read the Fearless books? I just want to know...

I think H/Hr remind me of Goku and Chi-Chi from Dragonball Z.
I don't know why yet.

Another one (and possibly my 2nd fave fictional pairing) is Wes and Fred from "Angel". They know each other, and complement each other so perfectly, and they're on the same wavelength. Love them (Although needless to say I hope H/Hs future is a little brighter than W/F was

Does that not sound like Hermione towards Harry? She promises to be there, no matter what? And Harry, Like he is, asks 'why?' because he dosen't understand that he is loved even if he has no family.

Luke/Lorelei from the gilmore girls

they are good good friends and he has had a crush but the timing never worked out untill this last season when they kissed. her boyfriends always saw him as major compition since she talks about him alot(he is the main male role modle for her little girl rory) they both have dreams about each other even when they are dateing other people.

i can really see them being an older version of h/hr

And, Poppet, I never thought of that. That's awesome! I read the first one about a year ago, and I automatically thought they would make a cute couple. Never thought of comparing them to H/Hr! I'm sorry, I'm excited...lol.

Has anyone read the Secrets of Droon books? My little sister reads them, and Eric and Julie hit me as a H/Hr couple. Altough, it is a kids book, so I doubt that'll happen. Anyway, their best friends, in a group of three. I mean, seriously, read these books. It has such a resembelance to the Harry Potter universe it's scary. Um, yeah. That's about it... I donno, just a musing of my mind.

I know people have said this, but Will and Lyra in the His Dark Materials trilogy are so much like Harry and Hermione... I really recommend reading these books... They're amazing... but the ending is so sad... bittersweet... But a lot like a Harry/Hermione relationship.

Only one literary couple comes to my mind to match the strength, depth and substance of the Harry and Hermione relationship; Laura Castellano and Barney Livingstone from Doctors by Erich Segal. I wish some of those people who think H/Hr are dull will find and read this book. might stop a few of them from equating "soulmates" with the word boring.

(first time here btw, am very happy to find a place exclusive to H/Hr. just love them. thanks to the people who keep this place up. )

Pacey and Joey from "Dawson's Creek" remind me of Harry and Hermione. Dawson and Joey, are both dark haired, and so is Harry and Hermione. A lot of people thought it was going to be Dawson and Joey because they were "soulmates". But in the end it was Pacey and Joey. (I loved the way Pacey loved Joey) Cory and Topanga from "Boy Meets World" Tucker and Becca from "flash foward" (i miss that show) Neo and Trinity from the "Matrix" and Darien and Serena from "Sailor Moon"

H/Hr remind me of the following
