I explain: Its simple because Aeris has always acepted Cloud who he was and Tifa wanted always someone different. But you need to know that game is in Cloud´s POV. Thats why I thought always Tifa is at the beginning annoying.

I love the pairing of Branson/Gwendolyn. Branson's very much his own person, a writer Gwendolyn's VERY smart - she's already a doctor at like 22 (Hermione much?). Yah, they're adorable together

how about a little hint of Ross and Rachael from friends in there, you know they're obviously meant to be together but they've got to a point where they think they have to keep in platonic...although that actually might be a better arguement for the R/Hr people...hmm best we never let this leak, unless anyone else can put my words better and make my idea make sense!

I've always thought X and Alia from the Mega Man X game series (MMX5 & 6 involved Alia) reminded me of Harry and Hermione.

X being the one who everyone expects to be hero just because of his name Mega Man X, when all he would like is to live his life as a normal reploid (robot who can think, feel, and make their own decisions if you don't know the terminalogy) like Harry with his issues with the 'Boy Who Lived' thing.

and Alia is a witty smart girl reploid with a strong friendship with X, not because he's the hero, but because he's X. also she uses her wise advice and wit to advise X and keep him from jumping into situations that could be overly dangerous (sound familiar?)

and Alia always gets worried about X when he goes extremely dangerous situations, like Hermione with Harry's trials in Book 4. and when ever X gets in a situation where knowledge is needed instead of going in guns blazing he goes to Alia, like Harry always goes to Hermione for information. X and Alia compliment each other the exact same way Harry and Hermione do.

and like H/Hr, the pairing isn't in canon yet, but like H/Hr I see um both coming ^^

I'd have to say Jean and Scott from X-Men Evolution. They're friends but they have really deep feelings for each other that they're afriad to how, not because of what could happen but because of the 'it's not time yet' attitude.

Either that, or Jessie and Johnny from the Real Adventures of Johnny Quest.

There's also the couple of Alex and Luna from Lunar the Silver Star. In fact, their personalities I think are quite similar to Harry and Hermiones, and they were both friends for their whole lives to start with.

Anyways, I was watching the dvd the other day and suddenly realised that they are so H/Hr!
Neo obiously fits Harry, being the whole savior of the world yet still feels a bit lost in his new surroundings.
Trinity is always there for Neo, like Hermione is for Harry, and sticks by him- Trinity also bosses him about a bit (when they are arguing about resquing morpheus). Nedd I say anything for Hermione's bossiness?!?

I also say the other parrallel of both girls take food to there men! Hermione takes toast out to Harry in GoF and Trinity takes Neo his food after his first day of training!

Now if that isn't enough to convince you all, I dont know what is . . .

Mulder and Scully are two characters frome the show and book series the X-Files.And true thay were the first two that came in my mind when this was posted along with C/T.Scully is in a way the logical person while Mulder is the one who is talking about circus freaks[i mean that with all respects]but thay have some good books like humbug and volteg.

I think T.V show "Jerry Seinfeid" Jerry and Elaine. They remind me of H/hr. They used to be lover...and they decided that being friend is better. I don't if that make sense...but that what i pick.

Truthfully, for anyone who's seen West Side Story, I think they almost remind me of Tony and Maria.

I know right now that probably makes no sense, but, I have at least one reason:

1. They both come from different backgrounds.
Tony: Typical "American"
Maria: Puerto Rican

Harry: Pureblood
Hermione:Muggle-born

Also, I believe that the books will follow a similar storyline. Hermione will be expected to marry Ron, (Maria and Chino) and she will fall in love with Harry instead.

(Also, you know it's almost like the forbidden love to R/Hr shippers!)

I gotta admit, when I saw the second movie a few weeks ago Trinity and Neo really reminded me of H/Hr. Glad to see I'm not the only one. The scenes down in Xion especially.

Another couple that reminds me of H/Hr is from Orson Scot Cards book latest book in the Ender series. I think it was called "Shadow Games." Anyways, Bean and Petra is the couple 'm talking about. They started off as merely comrades then after they began to rely on eachother became occasional freinds. After a few near death incidents they subtely became more but Bean refused to act on it for several reasons. He had a very powerful homicidal maniac after him, he knew he was going to die early in life, he was completely inept socially(especially love). All these reasons seemed very close to what Harry goes through. I wonder if I'm just reading too far into things or only seeing what I want to. Anyone else who's read the book think the same?

Hmmm, Gokou and Chi Chi remind me of H/Hr. too. Cause, you know, of Gokou's great awaiting destiny and his abilities, and his past... and Chi Chi's way of "calming" him down, and being bossy and also, caring a lot for Gokou's well-being

Umm... Tommy Dawkins and Lori Baxter from Big Wolf On Campus remind me of H/Hr, because there's three (Tommy, Lori, and Martin) and Martin has a youger sis who liked Tommy, but I don't think she does anymore, and when Tommy and Lori started going out, Martin got jealous, and he and Tommy got into a fight.
And then they became friends again, then Tommy and Lori broke up, but Tommy still liked Lori, and he walked in on Lori and Martin kissing, and so on.
This trio reminds me of Harry, Ron, and Hermione a lot.

And the whole Boy Meets World is so similar too! I love that show! I always stop to watch it at 8:00 and 11:30 each day, just to watch it.
And the whole Lizzie/Gordo thing reminds me of H/Hr too...
So does Tony and Loise from Even Stevens.

Hey, when ever theres a TRIO in shows and stuff, I noticed that there's two boys and one girl, the girl is usually the smartest and cleverest, and the main character and the characters' side kick, usually fall for her.
And the character's side kick usually gets jealous, even though the MAIN CHARACTER always gets the girl!

I think Luvya already said Tai and Sora, and I so toally agree. Jean Grey and Scott are the other. Jean and Scott started off with hidden feelings and friends, and now look! They're together! I know this sound so very lame, but I also say Arnold and Phoebe from the Magic School Bus. The show's not very consistant when it comes to ships, but on the A/P episodes, I so see it. The guy with messy hair and glasses and the girl with the brown hair. Not to mention Arnold DID save the entire class from a T-Rex in the dinosaur episode.

Mulder/Scully.

Think about it. Harry didn't like Hermione at the begining (neither did Ron, for all the R/Hr-s reading this!), and Mulder didn't really trust Scully at the start either. But then, after a few trials and tribulations, Mulder trusted Scully and they became friends, and Harry became friends with Hermione after the troll too. (And now, more ).

And, by the end of the series, Mulder and Scully ended up being lovers and even having a love child together. Hopefully, that's how Harry and Hermione will end up... *coughs* AFTER Hogwarts, of course...

I've always had a soft spot in my heart for David and Agnus in Dicken's David Copperfield.
They remind me of H/Hr.
Agnus was a little weaker than our spunky Hermione, but I still loved her. And come down to it, David is a little weaker than our hero Harry too. Maybe we can chalk it up to different times. This novel takes place in a different age than our HP series does.

Anyway, I was a die hard D/A shipper for that book.
The only bad thing was that David married Dora before he got with Agnus. I was devestated about that. But Ron is NO Dora! hee hee.

I would have to say Angel and Cordelia from Angel. They are like h/hr in the ways that they are best friends who would do anything for each other. Cordelia has been with Angel since day one and believed and supported him. She would always calm him down. That is who h/hr remind me of.

I was lazy and only skimmed the last page and half.. but did anyone mention Lizzie and Gordo from Lizzie McGuire?

In the Lizzie trio, she's the main character, who would pair with Gordo, the only boy.
In the Harry trio, he's the main character, who would pair with Hermione, the only girl.

Lizzie and Gordo are both very platonic in the beginning, they even *gasp* give each other love advice! They are even in the same age bracket. (for now at least) And in this one episode, where Lizzie and this guy don't hook up she asks Gordo if she's pretty and he says, "of course, you're very pretty Lizzie!" And it just reminded me so much of H/Hr!

They also start to question why they care so much about certain things, and Gordo becomes tired of just being the "best friend."

Ooooo! Maybe Hermione will soon get tired of being just the "best friend", too...

I don't watch much of Lizzie McGuire, but I've always thought she and Gordo should get together... Anyway, I wanna ask those really great fans of the series, does Lizzie's other best friend like Gordo? I know it's not Harry Poter, but I was just curious

Lizzie's other best friend is Miranda... but I don't think she likes Gordo? So I guess that's a difference from HP.

Eeee. Now there's a nightmarish thought. Harry and another woman/girl (Cho?) get together after Ms. Chang uses Evil Magic to trick him into sleeping with her, then they have a son Voldemort flings into a hell demension who later comes back and seduces Hermione with his ... his ... wait... what made that idiot Connor sexy again? Ooohhh..I never did notice that about Will and Elizabeth from Pirates of the Caribbean( I totally recommend that movie to everyone! ). Now, that I look back on it, I can definitely see it. They met when they were young. He was orphaned, because his parents were mudered...interesting. It falls into place quite nicely actually!

I'm a Jack O'Neill/Sam Carter shipper too.
They can't be together 'cause they are both in the Air Force (The R** and C** Factors) but they both know they are in love with each other and know that once Jack, the older of the two has left the Air Force, or when the Goa'uld, the bad guys (Voldemort) are gone, they will be together.
Sam is very, very clever (Hermione) and Jack doesn't really understand most of the things she's saying (Harry) although that doesn't really bother either of them.
Also Jack and Sam are the main Male and Female characters in the series so are Harry and Hermione.

As you can probably tell I've given this quite a bit of thought.
