I would accept Hermione/Krum or Neville/Hermione. Both them seem like they would treat with Hermione with the respect I think that she disserves. And if any of your have read my posts the Harry/Hermione vs. Ron/Hermione + Harry/Ginny would know that I can't stand Ron/Hermione. They don't treat each other with respect. Ron has never complemented Hermione or shown her any support in her interests unless it's to help out another friend like Harry or Hagrid. I also think it's a shallow crush stemming from Hermione dating Krum which would have made her into something that isn't second rate and worthy of pursuit. He didn't show any interested in her before then. And he didn’t notice that she was someone that could be date until after Neville asked her out and found it funny that anyone would ask her other then Neville would take her to the ball.

As for Harry, he is a tough one. He needs someone that is that can help him out and can take care of themselves. Ginny is a little to moody to help Harry out and I’m not sure that she could handle Harry and Hermione’s close friendship. Luna could help out Harry with dealing Sirius’s death and she seems like she could be able to deal with Harry and Hermione friendship but Harry/Luna only have death in common and I think it would be a little morbid to have a relationship based on it. Tonks seems playful enough to help Harry lighten up a bit and she also can easily take care of herself since she is an Auror. But there is the age difference and it would be difficult to build her up unless she impersonated a student, becomes a teacher, or helps guard the school. Tonks and Luna both would need to be built up to become a LI though. And if Harry dated any one else in the school they would likely get killed and no one is really built up that much and it would seem kind of rushed.

Platonic Trio would be the best option I think. The Trio is one of the most wonderful parts of the series and having two people hook up will always add a barrier to the relationship.

Harry/Luna, Neville/Hermione or Krum/Hermione. I like how Luna and Harry shares some things. They know the feeling of having a love one part from them and see someone die before their eyes and be an outcast or that some people just don't get them. Some people misjudge Harry and Luna, think he's just the Boy-Who-Lived and that Luna's a lunatic ( sweatdrop.gif sorry about that joke). They share a bond too, but it's not as strong as Harry and Hermione's. happy.gif

And for Hermione/Neville, I always had a thought of Hermione having a soft spot for Neville. Well, helping people is very noble, but she helped him countless times and it's pretty nice of her. She doesn't think Neville's a weakling too, unlike how others think of him - almost-squib, worthless, etc. First, helping him find Trevor and then helping him in Potions and other situations. And then when he asks her first for the Yule Ball, I thought it was sweet *coughcozHarrywaschickentoaskhercough*. Apparently, I thought he had a crush on Hermione (since for me, Harry needed to open his eyes back at that time tongue.gif) or that he needed to ask a girl he was close to in some way.

And then for Hermione/Krum, well, his treatment of Hermione was sweet. Some people see her as a know-it-all, but he must've seen something in her. Too bad though that she didn't quite return his feelings much. He was concerned about her in many fields (shall I say, her relationship with Harry? tongue.gif) and it's very sweet of him. I felt sorry for him when he tried to get Hermione's attention who divulged it towards Harry. I liked how much Hermione was concerned for Harry at that scene, but Viktor, I thought he needed some love too.

Why I didn't say Ron/Hermione or Harry/Ginny? I don't hate the ships, really. But how Ron treated Hermione in the books was just odd. He made her cry, no apologies, and they end up with each other. And Harry/Ginny, I just ask myself if she knew the real Harry and not the BWL. And the fact that they had very little interaction, and then he fell for her, isn't realistic for me. Hormones my foot. Oops. offtopic.gif Just explaining why. No offense to R/Hr and H/G shippers. smile.gif

So yeah, I'd accept Harry/Luna and Neville/Hermione or Krum/Hermione mostly. But no matter what, Harry/Hermione is in my heart. No replacing H/Hr. They don't have the effect Harmony has, even if they were combined. HH-inlove.gif

I would have been so much happier without an epilogue! At least than the future of the characters could have been left up to the reader.

But if I had to pick another ship....I guess I can live with R/Hr as much as it bothers me...or Ron and Hermione with other people.

But with Harry it's different, I've shipped H/Hr since I was little because in my mind there was no one else for him. I never saw the appeal of Ginny or any other character for him...Hermione was the only one who truly saw him for who he was. So as much as it pains me I would have rather seen Harry alone or dead than with Ginny because their romance was such a joke and I will never accept it.
