I think they should name the kids names that start with H's. I don't know, but it seems like it would be pretty cool.

And they won't need to name anyone Sirius because he's going to come back! Yes, I choose to remain completely in denial but happy.

I like the idea of Harry and Hermione having two kids . Two kids are the "ideal" number of kids, well in my opinion at least. Anyway, I think the girl would be the eldest and I think her name should be Sophia (because it means wise) and I like the name Benjamin for the boy. But I also like the name Robert, hmm...

They would definitely have two. Almost everyone agrees on that. I can see Harry wanting few because he's been an only child his whole life and is used to it. Same with Hermione. Besides, I don't think Hermione would want her family to intrude in her carreer. Lol, I can definitely see a reason why Ron/Hermione wouldn't work. Ron would want Hermione to have plenty of kids and stay with them at home.
As for the order... I can see a boy, and a girl two years after. Yeah, and Ron and Luna would have a girl first and then lots of others. Maybe their daughter could fall in love with Harry and Hermione's son...

Jee, names... I'm not very good with that. The girl I can totally see her as Emily. I dunno why, though. Emily Anne Potter. Anne would come from Hermione, because I'm convinced Anne is her middle name.
The boy would be called ______ (something) Sirius Potter. I can't yet think of a good first name. Probably something long that can be shortened. I like Alexander. Alexander Sirius Potter.

Alexander Sirius.- He would have his father and grandfather's messy, jet-black hair. Just to live up with the tradition. Very white skin and chocolate-brown eyes, like Hermione's.
He would be, personality wise, a lot like Hermione. He would have more affinity with her, I think. Maybe because he would be the first and only son he would fight more with Harry. Harry would try to be more exigent with him because of him being the first one, and though he'd try to be a great father, he would sometimes be a little too harsh. Hermione would defend Alexander in the fights.
He would be incredibely smart, but also kinda popular (I mean with the girls and stuff). He would be a total bossy-boots and book-addict.
Emily Anne.- She would have red (Lily-like) hair. It would be extremely curly (notice not bushy). As much as I'd want one of the kids to have Harry's eyes, it's a recesive gene, and I really can't picture anyone else with those eyes, because for me they are a connection between Lily and Harry. She would have hazel eyes. Oh, also very white skin but with freckles.
She would be the athletic one. She would be small and skinny, perfect seeker. She would really stand up for her ideas, like Hermione, but she would also probably have Harry's courage and thirst for adventures. She would be a lot like Hermione in the girlish aspect, more guy friends than girls, but still very pretty. She would totally have Harry's attitude. Low self-esteem, a "why me?" attitude. She would be Harry's spoiled one.

I have always like the idea of Harry and Hermione's child to be a girl, with green eyes and messy dark hair who wears geeky glasses. That she's more like her father than her mother, but smart, clever, bookish like her mother. And I just like the idea of one child. No more kids. lol.

Okay, I'll take a stab at this. From a genetic point of view, Brown/Black hair would most likely win out with brown eyes.
Now, since JKR has said that the fact Harry looks like his father, but has his mother's eyes will be significant in later books, I think green eyes may not apear again. But if they did, they'd be special like the only boy of the family or the only girl.

I figure there'd be quite a few kids. If they do have the torrid school days affair, like we all hope, I wouldn't be surprised if there was one right after they were done with school. That one would be an accident. Harry's insecure, he'd wait until he has a little more life experience before he has kids and then, it would be as many as Hermione could stand having.

I think their kids would most likely be mostly boys, with perhaps a girl, maybe two, but most likely only one. they'd be close togetherin age, but a few more years inbetween the first and second than the second and all following kids.

Lily and James would likely be middle names if they're used at all, maybe Hermione's parents as well if something were to happen to them. If Sirius really is dead, then Sirius for a middle name as well. Traditional names, but not too traditional, maybe with jazzed up spellings, just to make things interesting. No Brittany's, Candice, Amanda, Courtney, Caitlyn, Jaden, etc. I'm partial to Madeline (Maddie), Alexandria, Alexandra, Emily, Emma or Ella for a girl, Benjamin, Jake, Julian, Keith or Evan for a boy.

Personality wise, I think they'd be a pretty even match. Quidditch skills, though not quite as daring as him, They'd have a good work ethic, but know when to relax, an intelectual prankster, the best of bost parents.

I guess I would name them William James Potter and Charlotte Lillian Potter. Nothing trendy or overly cutesy. If I knew Hermione's parents' names I'd probably incoorporate them in there somewhere. I think the kids would most likely be named after other people. Cause that always happens.

Sirius is going to be an active prankster (think of anyone you know????) while Ron and Kat are going to be a little more studious. Kids... Interesting... I think three or four children... Probably four... And a pair of mischievous twins!!! Yeah... two boys... two girls. The elder boy will be named Eric Luke. The girl, I think, it'll be Caitlyn Jane (like Heaven said; great name!). The twins... I think Julian James and Lily Hailey would be great names. Yeah!

Anyway, I've always liked a wizard sounding name, so I thought about Julius Potter. As for a middle name, Sirius or Godric will do. Think about it: Julius Godric Potter, it sounds powerful. Still, I don't think JKR would go that way, I got the feeling she gave James and Harry normal names on purpose. It's kinda proven in the beginning of PS/SS. I'm at a loss for a girl's name, though. Sorry.

Ah...names. You know, when planning for a future fic, I spent an entire month researching names for Harry and Hermione's children. The great news, I have figured out the names that I want to use. The bad news, I won't be telling them here.

There is always a distinct possibility that as a tribute to Harry's parents they may name their kids James or Lily - heck, maybe even Sirius, but I don't like it. A name is the most personal possession a person has. If I were that kid (or kids) I would hate being overshadowed by a grandparent or otherwise. I would feel like I had a lot to live up too. *suddenly thinks of Anakin Skywalker and Anakin Solo in SW* Nope, wouldn't like that at all. Besides, I think Hermione would think up something original, something not commonly used.

Anyway, that's my two cents.

I really don't think Harry and Hermione would name their children James and Lily. It just seems a bit, well, I don't know, unlikely to me. And for authors, a cop out.

Their daughter is definitely called Cassandra Elizabeth Potter (took me ages to fix upon Cassandra, but I think it's perfect ) and their son Freddie John Potter. Nice normal names.

I also like Rose very much as a girls name.

I have given alot of thought to what The children of the trio would be called. (planning a fic) For Hermione & Harry, their oldest daughter was Oklina Sirius Potter (Weird, I know, but I like Oklina), their son was Nicholas James Potter and a pair of twins were Nina Anne Potter & Diane Lily Potter. (I spent too much time obsessing and looking up the meanings and origins, and yes I know it's cliche to use those middle names but I don't care. I really like the Nicholas James combination.)

Others I thought were pretty were

Boys: Micheal, Ernist, Paul, I was even pulling up greek and roman names like cesar

You all might think I am really weird for doing this, but I will tell my story anyways, since this is the perfect topic for it. I did this thing in Biology called Beaker Babies where you get with a partner of the opposite sex, your "spouse," and you write down all your alleles for certain genes for certain traits, put them in a beaker, and you pick out two alleles for each trait, one being from the girl and one from the guy, and you get what your "kid" would look like.

Well, I was bored one day, and I was feeling quite shippy, so I decided to do it for Harry and Hermione. So far, they have two kids, one boy and one girl. The boy has black hair and green eyes, and the girl has brown hair and green eyes. All the other traits they asigned us to do for the thing were stupid like whether they could roll their tongues or not and how big their feet were. But yeah. I don't know about their smartness or anything. It was kind pf stupid, but i am weird like that, so yeah.

I can see Harry and Hermione having two or three children. I agree with the fact that Hermione is not a baby making machine and won't produce a Potter clan. I have a hunch it will be two girls and a boy.

I think that if Harry and Hermione were to have 1 boy or 1 girl or both - their daughter would look more like Harry; black hair, and green eyes. As for names, I have no idea, but I was more into the look that the two of them would have...

Miranda Agate Potter would be born first. she has green eyes and very messy black hair.Of course,she couldn't be all like her father,so she is very studeous(How do you spel that?I cannot spell worth beans)...despite her nature for playing pranks on her enemies and being very aggresive.

Of course,after that, there must be another man of the house. Thus,the second child would be named James Potter....clearly because he was somewhat unexpected,and they couldn't think of a boys name in time (they were expecting a girl). he has curly dark-brown hair and hazel eyes. Like his father,he wears glasses, and it doesn't do him any good since he sometimes....misses....with some of the practical spells. Thats' how he gets his nickname of "Blunder The Magnificent".

But with that done, we have Iris Potter, who is the only one in her familys current generation with red hair and green eyes.She has a slightly Slytheryn mind for getting what she wants by any means, but is a fairly sweet girl.

Boy first, then the girl. I like the idea of having an older brother protecting the younger sister. And if the girl ever had any boy problems, she could always look to her brother.

I imagine the older brother to have the Potter trademark: messy, black hair. He would definitely have Hermione's eyes. And the girl... she would have wavy red hair and green eyes. I want her to look like Lily.

Well, in my story, Harry has a daughter named Emerson. But her mother named her that - and her mother (at least the birth one) isn't Hermione Emerson has black hair and green eyes, like Harry's.

But Harry and Hermione together have:

1. Benjamin Albus - image of Harry (or rather James since his eyes are hazel)
2. Luke - curly brown hair, green eyes like Harry's
3. Davina - wild russet curls, hazel eyes.

(Luke and Davina of course have middle names - and there are stories behind the names - but my story is ongoing so I don't wanna share it here )

I'm not partial to naming any of H/Hr kids 'Lily' or 'James' (Nor 'Sirius' either). It seems rather sentimentalist.. maybe as middle names, sure. But not as first names. James and Lily are gone and will never come back. Let the kids have their very own names - then perhaps, honor the dead ancestors via the middle name. That's why I went for "Emerson" - which I think is an awesomely cool name and I wouldn't be averse to naming my child that (my husband doesn't like it, though..).

Elizabeth is another nice name.. I can imagine them naming a daughter that.

I think any children of Harry and Hermione's would have a hard time with their hair, lol. I think the kids would be brilliant; at least one will be as rabid a reader as Hermione (this is Ben in my story).

Harry's green eyes would be present in at least one of the kids. Lily's red hair might show up - in full or partial quality. Hazel eyes would be possible, but chances are the ones who don't have Harry's eyes will have brown eyes. Brown is, afterall, the most common eye color there is. At least one of the kids will wear glasses, like Harry (Ben in my story ). All the kids will be more or less good at Quidditch.

In my story, there's Emerson, Ben, Luke, Davina - in that order. But I think it could go either way, boy or girl first. Personally, I'd rather have a son first. But for Harry and Hermione, really either way feels right.

Another note about the name Elizabeth: It can be shortened to Lily, so even if Harry didn't name his child Lily directly, he could still be honoring his mother that way. I believe that the name Lily orginally comes from "Elizabeth", as a matter of fact.

I always thought that Lily was a standalon name - the flower, you know. But it can be used as a shortened form. My mum is called Lily and her real name is Cecily.

Well, I’ve always wanted an older brother, so Lipton’s older. Besides, I’ve never liked the idea of Hermione giving birth to a girl first (Insert shrug here), it just didn’t seem right (And, ok, I want a son as opposed to a daughter).
4) What do you think they would look like?
Juliana: Messy dark brown curls, brown eyes (Maybe some green specks for good measure), very light dusting of freckles, no glasses, or braces (If I remember correctly, Hermione said her parents wanted her to get braces. I just couldn’t put the poor kid through the torture of being the Four-Eyed/Metal-Mouthed daughter of a famous wizard), rather awkward during puberty, average height, plain (Really, I think they’d have a plain daughter…Simple beauty, huh?)
Lipton: Shaggy, dark drown hair (Looks black, but isn’t. I would have given him a Mohawk, but that’d just be silly…and me writing my fantasy guy [Insert dreamy look and wistful sigh here]…Right.), brown eyes (Very dark and mysterious…Oh, I’m doing it again. Damn dream guy!), at least six foot, with as skinny, underfed Rock Star body (Oh darn…How I want to drag Harry’s fictional son into a closet.), no bulky muscles (Yuck! I hate “bulging biceps”), Justin Timberlake arms (Ok, I’m stopping now…), and (Finally…) an attitude like Holden Caulfield (Pathetic, I know…Only without the brake down and all). Oh yes, reading glasses, and maybe add a dash of Jess Mariano attitude (Hopeless Gilmore Girls fan, sorry…And Jess lover!)

4)Twins - just like Harry with hazel eye's and some red hidhlight in black unruly hair; both will be smart as Hermione and a little bookish, but the will get in trouble all the time, their favourite uncles will be of course Gred and Forge

girl - will have brown curly hair and green eyes; at first everyone will thout that she's her mother's little daughter (smart, know-it-all, bookish) but she will be just like James Potter (maybe a bit better) she will be brave and every boy in school will be a bit afriad of her

Girl looks like Harry mostly. She has green eyes. Her hair is black, but she has Hermione's bushyness.
Boys are both have brown hair that is messy like Harry's. One has green eyes, the other has brown.

I'm pretty sure that Lily and James will be in their names (whether it's their middle or first names...) For the boy, i think that it might be Sirius James Potter and for the girl Helen Lily Potter (for some weird reason i like to think that Hermione's mother is called Helen (after moi )

I like boy first then girl ... you know, the big brother will protect it's kid sister I am, of course, older than my brother but i always wanted to have an older brother to "protect" me:P I think that it's really cute!

I'd like to think that the girl will be an exact replica of Harry but in the female form, with the misfortune to have Hermione's bushy hair ... can't you just imagine a drop dead gorgeous girl with jet-black hair and emerald green eyes? The boy will have Lily's red hair mixed with Harry's messy hair and Hermione's chocolate brown eyes!

I agree with carla-Benjamin James Potter does sound nice and I like Charlotte Lily Potter(Kristen Elizabeth). They are great together!

BOY FIRST!!!!!!!He Would be like 7 years older than her.

Charlotte Lily-Red hair,Green eyes.They are dreadful together but OH WELL!

Benjamin James-Harry's eyes and impossible-to-tame hair-a mini-Harry!

Charlotte will be a little angel !

well, I can only think of two for now, but I would like Harry and Hermione to have more.

Okies, they have to have a girl first. Can't ya just picture Harry with a daughter??? He has a right to spoil her like no tomorrow! Oh! and she has to be a "daddy's little girl"

All I know is, they both must have James and Lily as their middle names.

For the girl, I can totally picture the name Annie Lily Potter...for some reason, I can see a little girl with cute curly hair running around. MUAHA

And for the boy, I would say Tyler James Potter..or T.J. for short!! WAA! SO CUTE!


M'kay....Annie would have Hermione's hair colour, and her curly hair, but with Harry's eyes

And T.J. would have Harry's hair, but with brown eyes!

And then they have a third kid with Harry's style of hair but Hermione's colour...or vice versa...but with HAZEL eyes! there! now you've got a kid with a mix of both the parents!! WOO-PAH!
