Actually, I believe it is entirely possible that Mrs. Granger may really be named Helen. In Greek mythology (and we all know JKR knows her myths) Hermione was the daughter of Helen of Troy and Menelaus - their only daughter in fact. Hmm...interesting, isn't it? Although JKR says she got the name from Shakespeare, I think it's highly possible that if JKR were to ever give Hermione's parents' names her mother would be Helen.

It says that the Harry/Hermione forum was for everything from if it's going to happen in canon to what the names of their children might be.

So let me ask you...What do you think Harry and Hermione will name there children?

I think they'll have anywhere from 1-3 kids, boys or girls(I don't really care which but I always imagined Harry having a little girl)but I'm unsure as to what they will be named. I've read TONS of stories where Harry and Hermione have kids and the names differ greatly. Which brings me back to my first question - What would you name Harry and Hermione's children if you had that kind of power (like JKR does, for instance).

In a story I wrote/am writing Harry has one daughter named Willow Rose. I really really like that name.

Let's see, I think they'll have two kids (1 boy 1 girl), they boy will have Harry's hair but his mothers eyes, the girl will have her mothers hair and her fathers eyes.

As for their name's, Harry will most likely want them to have his parents name, and maybe Sirius as a middle name for the boy. To honor them, imo is something H/Hr would want to do.

If they had kids? Hmm........I'd think one of them would be named Sirius. Another maybe named Lily depending on which one comes first and if Hermione wants to name one. I think I'll go with the popular opinion of 2 kids, at the most 3. Of course with Harry and Hermione as the parents those children will have such messy and bushy hair that it'll probably stick up everywhere. Of course I expect them to be trouble makers like the marauders and their father somewhat with Weasley uncles and an aunt around (I think it'll be Ron, Fred, George, and Ginny around the most since they are the Weasleys that are closest to Harry the most. And knowing Fred and George they will corrupt them.).

Ive always imagined Harry and Hermione having 3 kids, 2 girls and a boy.

The boy would be callled James Sirius Potter, kind of in memory of them, he would have Hermione's hair colour, in Harry's style (messy) and would have Harry's eyes and Harry's build (thin). He would be just like Harry, brave and courageous.

The 1st girl would be called Lily Jane Potter, obviously Lily because of Harry's mother, but I think Jane is a name Hermione would choose. She would have raven black hair, really long and always messed up, her eyes would have Harry's shape with Hermione's browness. I've always thought of her as studious, like Hermione, but obviously very brave still.

The 2nd Girl I thought would be called Calais Molly Potter, Calais is a city in Frace, somewhere Hermione loves. Molly because of Molly Weasley. She would have short, shoulder length black hair, it would be quite bushy. She would definatley have Harry's eyes. I always imagine her mischivous, showing that she has maurader blood flowing through her veins.


And of course they are all in Gryffindor.

I think that they would have two (2) kids, a boy and a girl. The girl would have green eyes (dad) brown hair (mum) that would be messy (dad) and the boy would have brown eyes (mum) dark brown (almost black) bushy hair (mum & dad).

Boy's Name: Sirius James Potter (could go by 'James')


Girl's Name: Anastasia Lily Potter (could go by 'Anna')

I gave them both Harry's parent's first names as middle names, Sirius as the boy's first name in honor of the Maruder, and Anastasia as the girl's first name because it sounds pretty .

This is fun to do, IMO.

Ooh! This is definatly ze thread for meh! I've got all of ze connectinos all figured out, but I shall only tell about H/Hr kiddies.

They shall have three kids. One older boy and twins. The older boy would be named Thaddius Sirius Potter and in Gryffindor and would have dark brown messy hair, no glasses, but green eyes.

The twins would be a boy and a girl named James Robert Potter and Loralei Marie Potter. The girl would have bushy black hair and brown eyes. She'd be in Slytherin and her best friend would be Zeus Jupiter Draco Malfoy. That'd kill Harry, but, oh well. The boy would have messy grown hair and green eyes. He'd be in Ravenclaw and would be friends with Jonathan Forge Weasley (Gryffindor) and Jeremy Kalion Zabini. He would hate (But secretly love) Dormeins Europa Malfoy.

Cute thread! Well if H/HR had children I would imagine them to have twins (boy and girl).

I don't know about the names, I guess Sirius or James (or both) for the boy and I have no clue what for the girl.

As for appearances, I can see the kids with brown hair, messy for the boy and bushy for the girl and with the signature sparkling emerald green eyes.

I'm so glad everyone's having fun naming Harry and Hermione's kids. I really like the names Anastasia Lily, Calais Molly, and Loralei Marie. Those are good ones.

IMHO, I don't think Harry would name his kids after Lily or James. Maybe as middle names. I think its a little unfair that the kids are always named after people in Harry's family. What if Hermione wanted to name it after someone? They would run out of kids! That's why I think they should avoid the matter altogether and name it something that has nothing to do with anything.

I think they'll have a boy first and name it Michael, John, Julian, or something like that. It will look pretty similiar to Harry except maybe Hermione's eyes or perhaps James'. Then they'll have a girl named something like Natalie, Rose, or Noel and she'll have brown hair thats not quite as bushy as her mothers but a little curly with green eyes and she'll of course be a little Daddy's girl. But that's just what I think.

I dunno why, but I read this one challenge, and Harry and Hermione had a baby girl, and they called her Amara, it means 'everlasting'

I seriously loved that name as soon as I read it. Now, when I'm older and hope to have a daughter named Amara! I love that name.

I also love the fact for Harry's future dauhter to be a "daddy's little girl". Harry would definately spoil her to death.

Okay the offspring question! If the Harmony sails there is bound to be little Potters, (or Granger-Potters ) running around sooner or later. So your assignment, should you chose to except it, is to name the number, appearance, gender/s, and name of said offspring. Here is mine...

I think H/H will have three sons.

Malachy Sirius Potter: He would be a miniature of Harry; green eyes, black messy hair; but he'd have a little of his mother around his jaw and nose. Over all he'd be rather brilliant but rambunctious. He'd have his mother's intelligence; but lack her drive. He'd defiantly favor Harry in the academic department.


James Ronald Potter: He'd have brown hair, but his father's eyes. Much more focused then his older brother, he'd follow more of his mother path in Academia. A scholar with a sense of humor.

Leonardo Albus Potter: (Leo) He'd have his father's hair, and shape of eyes, but his would be dark brown. He'd be bold, and forceful. He'd get bored easy with school but brilliant none the less. He'd be his much like his grandfather, but slightly less arrogant. Still he'd defiantly be cocky and a real handful.

Let me see...all of my family are HUGE H/Hr shippers...so I am...lets see. I'd like to think that they'd have a litte girl name Adrianna Lily Potter. And another girl, Hermione Sarah Potter. And one boy, Harry Sirius Potter. Adrianna would have light skin, with brown-black messy hair and hazel eyes. Harry Jr. would have light skin, messy brown hair with green eyes, and Hermione Jr. would have light skin, black hair and green-brown eyes.

I really don't know, but, if they had a boy, I think the name would be along the lines of "James Sirius Potter" or "Sirius James Potter". As for a girl, maybe something after Lilly or Molly, as prophecy_princess101 thinks. That'd make sense to me, but Im just a fool. And obviously, the godfather of their kids'd be Ron.

Very cheesy indeed...but how else shall we pass the time until our ship finally happens?? I agree and I don't think we'll ever know. But it's still fun to rant about it and speculate!

Yeah, it's kinda sad that we H/Hr shippers have the time to even think about our ship starting a family - oh well, it's still fun.
Now for the names, just to be the strange one to go against popular belief that 3 kids is the maximum for a family - I will give 7 kids (4 boys & 3 girls) with names . (They'll all be in Gryffindor):

James Albus - "one who supplants light" Hermione originally suggests naming him after Harry, but obviously he refuses to burden his son further by having the same name as his famous father. James looks exactly like his grandfather with untidy black hair & hazel eyes (brown & green). James will be friends (& secretly in love) with Celestina Susan Weasley (R/L's oldest daughter).
Sarah Minerva - "princess & goddess of wisdom" Sarah will have very dark curly brown hair & her father's green eyes. She will be best friends with Aurora Rhiannon Weasley (R/L's second daughter - ironically Ron has 4 girls & 1 boy) end up with Richard Baran Lupin (who, by the way, will not be the son of Lupin/Tonks, but Lupin/OC. I like to think he married a woman named Amarantha Magus, which means "deathless magic").
Lily Eviana - "pure, beautiful, & innocent living one" Lily receives the honor of bearing this name because she will look exactly like her grandmother. (Hermione helps think of a feminine variation of Evan.) She ends up with Christopher Frank Neville Longbottom (Neville/Ginny's son).
Edmund Remus - "quick happy protector" H/Hr have an argument over this one because Harry wants to name him Sirius, but Hermione wins the arguement. Edmund has his mother's bushy brown hair & his father's green eyes. He'll be best friends with Daniel Viggo Weasley (R/L's only son & youngest child) and Catherine Faye Dursley (Dudley's witch daughter ). Daniel ends up with Cat while Edmund ends up with Morwen Narcissa Malfoy, daughter of Draco/Pansy (sorry, I'm not a huge D/G fan).
Sirius Ronald - "sparkling wise dominion" Harry finally gets to name a son after his godfather and his best friend. Little Rius will have Harry's messy black hair & Hermione's brown eyes
David Godric & Elizabeth "Lizzie" Ganieda - "beloved ruler of God" & "Merlin's sister pledged to God" Harry picks the first names & Hermione the middle names. David has straight brown hair & brown eyes while Lizzie has curly black hair and green eyes. These two twins & their brother Sirius will end up with Muggles.

Hermione certainly seems to show a strong maternal instinct when she gets protective of the 1st years in OotP. Since she & Harry are only children (not to mention an orphan for Harry's part), I can see them having a nice, big Weasley-size family. Many people might think it's a stretch to have such a big family, but it isn't as unusual as you might think (seriously, I can name at least 20 families I've met that have 5 kids or more - that's not including my family of 6). Sure, it may be a handful to have a big family but on the bright side there's never a dull moment with big families.

I agree with Elarinya in that they'll have more than 3 kids, definitely. Harry shows a desire for the company of a big family early on in the books, and Hermione as an only child probably longed for a sibling on occasion - then again, more kids tends to equal more noise and fewer places to hide and read Hogwarts, A History Even so, I think she'd do well as a mother to a big family of mostly boys. Since Hermione's two closest friends are boys I'd think she'd be a much better mum to boys than girls anyway. But Harry would need a little girl to spoil.

Robert Sirius nn Robbie - He'd have his dad's black hair and his mum's brown eyes, no glasses. And he'd have a few freckles across the bridge of his nose. He'd be in Gryffindor, obviously, and he'd be rather shy. Not a good trait for a son of Harry Potter, cause he has to deal with being in the spotlight quite a bit, but not as much as dear old dad. Really sweet kid who just wants to be his own person and not be "Harry Potter's son" forever.

Michael Remus nn Michael - Black hair, brown eyes, just like Robbie. He'd hafta be in Gryffindor too. Very bright and intellectual - perhaps just a bit nerdy? But not show-offy by any means. He'd be following his mother in classes like Ancient Runes and Arithmancy. Two years younger than Robbie...a good teacher and very organized.

Gabriel James nn Gabe - Brown hair, brown eyes. He'd be very athletic, a Keeper on the Gryffindor House team. With two Potter boys before him and not looking as much like his dad as them, Gabe won't suffer the limelight the way Robbie and Michael did - so he'll have to make his own claim to fame, and he'll do it through Quidditch. An aggressive Quidditch player, but he'll lack the same motivation in school - he does well enough to get by, but he's not like his brothers. He's a year younger than Michael.

Matthew Granger nn Matt - Back to the black hair and brown eyes. Matt will be a troublemaker, no doubt about it. A Gryffindor, but just barely - the hat was toying with Ravenclaw and Slytherin over Gryffindor, but he ended up there anyway. Very intelligent, both with book smarts and street smarts. Mischevious like his grandfather, and he goes a bit stupid around girls sometimes like James. Three years younger than Gabe.

Samuel Arthur nn Samuel - Samuel's got Hermione's brown hair, but he's the only Potter boy besides his dad with green eyes. Very friendly, bordering on a shameless flirt sometimes - it's the green eyes. He's incredibly charming, which he'd have to be to stand out to the girls from his brothers. He is very motivated to be an individual and be seen as a different person than Harry, Robbie, Michael, Gabe, and Matt. One year younger than Matt.

Tamsin Alexandra nn Tamsin - Tamsin has light brown hair and green eyes. She's a cute girl, outgoing, and the Gryffindor Seeker, just like dad. She's very protected by her brothers, three of which are in Hogwarts with her when she starts first year. Tamsin is very loyal and trustworthy, but she is also a somewhat assertive person. She's two years younger than Samuel.
