Anyone read "Chance Encounters" by Davesmom? Well, Ginny reading sappy romance novels and the way Draco says he would tell a girl he loved her gave me an idea…

Draco likes Ginny. A lot. In fact, he supposes it’s reached the point where he can’t deny that it’s full-fledged love. Problem is, he’s forced to acknowledge that he’s not quite as irresistable as he always believed he was after the confessing-to-Ginny fiasco (up to you wonderful authors how this is done).

Ginny has unreasonably high expectations when it comes to romance, but Draco is up for the challenge…

And so Draco decides to give Ginny her fairytale. This calls for some pretty inventive magic, and elements from all kinds of fairytales and clichéd stories. When Draco is done, Prince Charming would be coming to him begging for tips on how to woo the ladies. Or so he hopes. He always seems to forget about the tights and all that Shakespeare-way-of-talking business…

Just to make it clear, Draco has to actually set the whole thing up so that he and Ginny are in a fairytale-like role play thing, with no interruptions. And he has to keep making a fool of himself, forgetting how some things were done in the fairytales, etc.

If you don't mind, could we ignore Ginny's romantic pursuits in OotP? Not so say she still likes Harry, I just want her first kiss to be from Draco. And vice versa. None of that playboy!Draco nonsense.

Of course, as is the case with all fairytales, there must be a happy ending (hopefully with lots of humour on the way)!!

Aaw, c'mon, someone have a go!!

Someone! PLEASE! Even though this isn't my challenge I'm desperate to have someone try it! IF someone tries it they can give me like the weirdest thing and I'll try! maybe I shouldn't lie. My nose is getting longer as we speak!

I got this weird urge to write this and I know it needs a bit of editing, but here it is.

Draco Malfoy stepped into the Slytherin Common Room after being pushed into the lake by Ginny Weasley. He scowled at no one is particular and started to wind his way to the dormitories.

“Well well, look what the cat dragged in”, drawled Blaise Zabini, looking up from his book.

Draco’s scowl became even more pronounced as he regarded his closest friend. “Bite you tongue”, he spat, “no self-respecting cat would even dare come near me.”

“Good god Malfoy, you look like you went swimming in the lake with your clothes on”, said Pansy Parkinson, coming into the Common Room, seeing Draco, raised her eyebrows.

“As a matter of fact, Parkinson”, drawled Draco, shrugging out of his cloak, “I was.”

“After Ginny Weasley tried to feed him to the Giant Squid”, quipped Blaise, closing his book and standing up.

Pansy chuckled quietly as Draco glared at the dark-haired Slytherin, still struggling out of his wet clothes.

“Ginny Weasley”, asked Pansy, raising her eyebrows, “what were you thinking?”

“I was thinking along the lines of sweeping her off her feet”, muttered Draco, folding his robe and cloak over his arm.

“Give those here, Malfoy”, sighed Pansy, taking out her wand, “We can’t have you setting the common room on fire if you try to magically dry your clothes.”

Draco grudgingly handed over his robes and cloak. Blaise took out his wand and muttered a spell, drying Draco’s wet uniform.

After Pansy handed him his now dry clothes, he sat down and displayed one of his rare moments of despair. It wasn’t everyday that the girl you were besotted with rejected you. More so the fact that he didn’t even understand why she rejected him in the first place.

“Malfoy if you’re going to mope then I’d suggest you do it somewhere else”, sighed Blaise, dropping onto an armchair opposite Draco, “Merlin knows this place is dreary enough without your sad face adding gloom to it.”

“Malfoys don’t mope”, Draco automatically said, schooling his features into an impassive mask.

“Well you’re doing a good imitation of one”, retorted Pansy, lounging on the arm of Blaise’s chair.

“Seriously Malfoy didn’t you even learn anything from all the times you stared at her”. counseled Blaise.

“Your point”, asked Draco, raising an impassive eyebrow. He wasn’t in the mood to spot weaknesses. This was the love of his life not some quidditch game. Along with the fact he just didn’t understand girls in general.

Pansy gave an unlady-like snort that sounded like ‘daft prat’ and with the air of someone doing a great sacrifice said, “She seems to have an attachment to romantic fairytales.”

At first Draco didn’t – couldn’t comprehend what they were implying but understanding soon dawned on his features.

“It going to take a lot of work, some ingenuity and my irresistible charm”, he said, causing the two Slytherins to roll their eyes and snort, “along with the help of my two allies.” He looked at Blaise and Pansy for comfirmation.

“Of course”, said Blaise, standing from his chair, “You couldn’t pull this of without us.”

Pansy nodded, standing up gracefully from her perch. At his two friend’s nods, he smirked, “By the time, we’re done Prince Charming himself would be begging for pointers and Ginny Weasley won’t know what hit her.”
