Yeah Hermione with the Weasley twins is just WEIRD. Extremely strange...D/Hr is messed up too, but I think I've stated my views on that already.

Im not saying that im D/HR or anything like that but sometimes opposites do attract. i find it more likely Hermione and Neville to get together. smile.gif
jackryan411
Look, opposites can attract but not in this case. Hermione and Draco constantly belittle each other and they genuinely dislike each other. And I don't believe in the "Draco is a good guy" stuff...Draco is just a basic archrival of the main character. Not a good guy.
Laura Laurent
I totally agree with Jackryan. I happen to be of the opinion that Draco may redeem himself slightly by the end of the series, but there is no way that Hermione (or Draco) could put all those years of taunting and bigotry behind her.

Like Dumbledore said, some scars run too deep for the healing.
Ashes
If D/G can happen, why can't D/Hr? They seemed to be based on the same thing. Rivalry and opposition. Draco constantly belittles the Weasleys, too, doesn't he?

Urg. I talked to someone that said they preferred D/G over D/Hr because then Draco and Ginny could be paired up with purebloods and keep their family blood pure. And she calls herself a Gryffindor at heart.

Personally, if H/Hr doesn't work out, I'd like to see D/Hr. Harry... well, I can think of numerous slash pairings that I like, but het (since that's more realistic, I suppose) couple? Um. Harry/Ginny isn't so bad, depending on how it's written. I like Harry/girl!Blaise and Harry/Susan Bones, too.
trikymia
mm... I think everything can happen. there's not really a ship that will NEVER happen. even stranger ships can happen. like, wolfstar ( heart.gif I'm so in love with that one heart.gif ) that's a pretty weird ship, but it COULD (have) happen(ed)

I'm going to find those mean, mean people and give them a peice of my mind! Mess with one PK member, you mess with us all! And how many of us are there? 2000+?

Completely agree! As usual! Go Jack! *Does little jig to celebrate Jacks rightness* And I will take over you in the posting Stakes Jack! I know I will! Hehe! Joking! I know I won't really! laugh.gif

See now, that's why I hate Ginny/Draco... for the same reason I don't like Hermione/Draco.
Facade
I have never really liked the love/hate relationships. They just seem to be so petty and put on to much unwanted tension. NO, I preger the easy going lovely, calm kind of love. Much like the one H/Hr have.
KaiserDragon
Love/hate relationships are weird anyway. Too much varibles and crap in between that makes you wonder how the hell they're making it work.
Facade
Love/hate is just complicated. You really have to focus on the positive attributes a couple can have a forget the negatives which are usually more in abundance than the positives.
Kaori Shima
I voted R/Hr. I came to SOMEWHAT accept that one.

Victor: Long distance relationships don't work out well, y'know.

Neville: He kinda creeps me out.... I think he's better with Ginny.

Draco: Can we say Kaori isn't a fan of this pairing? Yes, yes we can. Draco/Hermione doesn't work for so many reasons. Their personalities are far too apart. I think she'd strangle him to death after a while. Also, he doesn't show much respect towards her friends, and while Draco can't help but know Hermione's alive (she did survive the basilisk in COS, after all), I honestly doubt he thinks of her as anything more than "the mudblood that's always with Potter and the weasel."

Fred: Weird...

George: Check above text...
trikymia
Kaori Shima that's one of the best avaters around, lol

anyhow, love-hate relationships are kind of unsteady, but they can work. though I'm certainly NOT supporting any of the love-hate ships around (except for L/J perhaps)
jackryan411
I don't support D/G. I don't think it can work. I'm an N/G shipper which is not love/hate, so forget it. D/Hr is just demeaning to both the characters in my opinion.
trikymia
I don't support D/G either. it just doesn't work for me.

Exactly...it just doesn't make any sense. Those love/hate things just simply don't work---only for five year olds.

Kaori Shima
LOL!!! I know. I hate love/hate relationships as well.

In fact, I think I'll make a couple Anti D/Hr comics
=========================

Hermione: You know, Draco, a lot of fans think I have warm, fuzzy feeling about you. Funny huh?

Draco: Barely. Especially since your taste in men includes a worthless squib, a violent idiot with bad hair and a nerd who doesn't know the basics of heroics.

Hermione: Actually, I think I DO have warm, fuzzy feelings about you Draco.

Draco: Really?

Hermione: I think it's NAUSEA.
Facade
Yeah, love and hate would be appropiate for five year olds.

Five year old girl: I love you!

Five year old boy: Well I don't! You play with Barbies!

Serendipity
If H/Hr don't end up together (heaven forbid) then I'd like Draco and Hermione. blush.gif

Now *that would be a love-hate relationship, not R/Hr whistling.gif

Just as long as Harry doesn't end up with Ginny....

EDIT: D/HR can only happen if Draco redeems himself...but then again, that probably would never happen....so...I'm right back to where I started...H/Hr innocent.gif
Kalie
I don't prefer love/hate relationships either, but you must remember that Portkey is not only a H/Hr and R/Lu shipping site..but it's also a site that supports two love/hate relationships. You don't want to offend anybody that may take something out of context and get angry over it.
KaiserDragon
That's why I generally hang out here... I don't mean any offense to any other ship, it's just my personal preferences.
Kalie
I feel the same way, but some H/Hr shippers do support them. I personally don't care for them, but we are all a little bit different.
jackryan411
I guess PK does support two love/hate ships, but I never go to those forums anyway. Shrug...this is an awesome place to hang out though. biggrin.gif
trikymia
PK should support some slash tongue.gif like Wolfstar. nah-ha-hee

oooohkay.
Earendil
Quite honestly, I would rather that both of them end up alone rather than with anyone else. It's harsh, maybe, but I think any other pairing would be contrived and unrealistic.

However, if I absolutely had to choose, Harry with Luna would be fine with me. Just not Ginny. user posted image Few things irritate me more than the prospect of H/G.

As for Hermione: I wouldn't mind Neville. Though I sincerely doubt this will ever happen.
Facade
I would really prefer for H/Hr to go solo, if they don't end up together...

As for the love/hate issue, I don't really support that so you won't see me at those sections...
trikymia
solo, yeah actually. but that's not an option,..

wah. so tired.
jackryan411
Hmmm...them going solo wouldn't be too bad. It would be better than Hermione ending up with Ron at least. biggrin.gif
karenkate_kitty
good pointy there jack... i think they're better off alone if they don't get together.... i think it's a bit cruel on our part to wish that but hey..... we just love H/Hr and our H/Hr brains can't register anyone else.....
Facade

To right they can't. I know it is cruel of us to wish that, but I am just thinking whats best for Harry and Hermione, no one better understands them than each other...
jackryan411
Yeah...going solo is the best (other than H/Hr itself). But Neville is the second best choice for Hermione and Luna for Harry.
Facade
I understand why people would choose Neville for Hermione, but...

Why is Luna the second best choice for Harry?
jackryan411
Because who else is there? No one else is a good choice and besides Luna and Harry at least have a few things in common.
Laura Laurent

I'm not going to say anyhting at all in response to that...

Oh, hold on a sec I think that's my dog talking to me... what are you saying boy?

"GINNY!"

::Zaps dog with tazer::: "Down boy!"
karenkate_kitty
okay.... i like NEville with Ginny........ (but I also like Gin and Draco in Fanon)

Hermione... if she doesn't end up with Harry an I have no choice but to put her with someone...... i pick Terry Boot or Ernie Macmillan..... why? i don't know....

For Harry..... okay.... Luna can be okay but I much rather have Luna with Ron..... I just so love Luna's reactions towards Ron it's so unHermione..... hehehe ..... Harry can be with a muggle girl that should still be named..... .. err.... Hermione.....hehehe
jackryan411
I don't think Harry and Ginny would be good at ALL together. Harry constantly ignores Ginny, even refers to her as "your sister" to Ron, does not care about Ginny, etc. etc. Ginny is also not as developed as Luna (way too hasty rush job of a try to develop Ginny in Book 5 by JKR, by the way) and Harry just WON'T end up with Ginny, because if he did, she'd be more of a trophy type of a girlfriend (not saying that she's not smart or anything, what I mean is that she's not the type of girlfriend who Harry would listen to).
Laura Laurent
I'm sorry Jack.... I have to admit, I mostly did that to get a rise out of you
jackryan411
Lol, Laura...it's okay. You certainly did get a rise out of me though. tongue.gif So it worked...but I stand by my reasons. They're right (in my opinion.)
Liz R.
If H/hr never happened, I'd like Hermione to end up with Terry Boot. I mean, in the one chapter of OOtP, when she was giving out the fake galleons, he kept complimenting her, and she just ignored him. Even me, being the devout H/Hr shipper I am, had to yell, "GOD HERMIONE YOU'RE SO CLUELESS!"
karenkate_kitty
Liz R. Same sentiments here.... I keep on thinking why I linked that name to Hermione..... well, Terry could be okay but I seriously think no one will beat Harry in her heart
Grace Granger
I picked Viktor, but I've always really wanted Oliver. Yet no canon-evidence for them. blush.gif
Caderyn
I don't think it's really fair for me to answer the 'hermione' part of the question since I'm a R/Hr shipper, so I'll just answer the 'harry' part.

If Harry didn't end up with Hermione, I'd be okay if he was with Ginny or Luna, I suppose. It's kind of hard since neither character has been thoroughly developed in the books (Okay, Ginny's been there technically since book 1, but until book 5, she's always had this schoolgirl crush on Harry, which just makes her silly, really).

Harry/Luna: To tell ya the truth, I haven't given it much thought until I came to the boards and found so many followings for Luna shippers (either with R or H). I suppose her kookiness will suit Harry since his life will never ever be normal. She will never be judgemental and that will allow her to be more understanding of Harry's decisions (we all know how impulsive he can be). But then again, there's always the question of whether/not Harry will like her kookiness. 'Cause with how his life's going, Harry may want a girl who's more 'normal'. Just look at Cho. She's like the epitome of 'normal'. Not 'regular', but just like a plain, sweet, nice girl who's likeable by everyone. But then again, it might have been just looks with Cho.

H/G: I think the 'new' Ginny can really be a good match with Harry. While Harry's daring and brave, he's certainly not bold with girls. He doesn't know how to talk to them and he doesn't understand it if they're too 'girly' (like Cho crying a lot, for instance). This is why 'new' Ginny suits him. She seems to be more confident about boys (two guys in one year! Go Ginny!) that she can take the reign (spelling?). Plus, with six brothers, I doubt that she'll be too girly. But I think, if romance should happen between the two, Harry should first be able to look past the 'Ron's sister' label. They probably have to be friends first.

Wow, that's certainly a lot of writing for ships I don't strongly support!
Nousia
All right, before I post my opinion, I just want to clarify some things:

Okay, for one thing, the 'new' Ginny (if you want to call her that) barely even knows Harry. She knows only his name and his fame. Anyway, she doesn't understand him, either. She only sees him for the 'hero' that [she thinks] he is. Not exactly an ideal start to a potential relationship. Plus Harry has to trust her - he can't trust her, because he doesn't know her. And vice versa for Ginny. Anyway, she seems to get all hot-headed and has an attitude with him whenever he's mad/depressed. Not a good way to approach a temperamental 15-year-old boy. She does try to understand him - but goes about it in a bad way. I agree with you on all the other points, though.

As for choosing . . I'd prefer that he would be single. Since, in my opinion, there's no other person for him besides Hermione. And of course since no one can replace Hermione, I'd just rather Harry to be single. It's a lot less harder for him that way.

No offense was meant in this post. And I'm not sure if I made any sense to begin with. Oh well.
Ebba747
The only reasons I voted Hermine/Krum was that:
1. I can't stand the other ships
2. I really can't see Hermione/Krum happen, not even in my worst nightmares (well, I guess that's maybe because that ship doesn't belong in my worst nightmares), so I don't really see that as an "enemy"

As for Harry, I don't really know. The thing that makes me dislike Harry/Luna (well, of course there is all this about putting Hermone out of the picture) is that I always pictured Harry with someone who was in the books from the beginning, and the only girls who are in the first book is Harry's year-mates, Ginny and the girls in the quidditch-team (well, I guess there are more, but that I remember), and the only one of those that I really like is, of course, Hermione.
I hate Harry/Ginny, but I would rather that Harry ended up with Ginny than than he was alone. He is the hero, after all, he can't be alone.
But, really, I guess I'd have to say Harry/Draco, even if that sinks Draco/Ginny. I don't really know why, and I never read Harry/Draco (well, almost never), but still...

Oh, and I wouldn't mind Hermione/Terry, since "Terry" sounds quite a bit like "Harry"

i chose viktor krum! he liked hermione just the way she was - bushy hair, buckteeth and all! because of that, he deserves her more than ron does (well, actually, ron DOES NOT deserve hermione, imho.). and hermione seems to admire viktor and enjoy his company as well. she also maintains regular correspondence with him, so that must mean that viktor is worth writing all those novel-length letters for. and imho, hermione needs someone with as strong a personality as hers, so unless neville morphs into "SUPERNEVILLE!!!" in the last 2 books...it should definitely be viktor who hermione ends up with.
