Exchanged PMs with some Portkeymates about this and NightSpirit's other story. The FFN link above has been broken, but Portkeymate lognar1525 found another link, which I inserted in the Rec-Engine record. We just aren't 100% sure it is the same story or author.

QUOTE (lognar1525 to me)
Hi gal-texter

I've just discovered that the link to
"Not the girl you thought you knew" by Night Spirit
(Rec Thread) does not work anymore and adapting the url to ff.net's new format turned out that the story seems to have been removed from there.

However, I found a story of the same title by an author of the same name
here (link).
As I have not read the story on ff.net I cannot tell if it's really the same one.

Sorry to bother you with this,
Nadja

QUOTE (me)
It's not a bother, thanks for letting me know. I'll check those links this weekend.

Oh btw, as much as I appreciate your PM, I'd also encourage you to use the Report link in the Rec-Engine record. Below the recommender's name and avatar. That link sends an email to me and my co-Mods, ensuring a faster response.

QUOTE (me to DG fan Szaranea )
Hi, have you read Night Spirit's fics, "Love and War" and "Not the Girl you thought you knew"?  The FFN URLs are dead, but we're not sure if this and this are the same stories.

QUOTE (Szaranea)
Well, I haven't read the stories, no, but I read into them a little and compared them with the summaries in the rec thread, and I think it's the same stories.
