Well, we're here for each other Jess. Nothing's gonna change that, even if the internet fell tomorrow, we're still with ya!

Yep! Jess, we all love you and will be here for you if you ever need it...I love how everyone's always willling to help each other out...the future of this country is in good hands (I'm betting that most here are in their teens, although we do have adults here as well)...Yes, Harry Potter's important, but I wouldn't be discussing shipping if one of my friends had an asthma attack but maybe afterwards (if she was still out of it)...I'd talk after we got her to the hospital and all.

This is so odd! I was trying to convert a R/Hr too. Duh, I think everybody is! Stupid me! But I found it was so much easier for me to convert her than for her to convert me. I had more reasons than her and she was kind of stumped. It was fun! I think, no offense to any R/Hr, but they have a lack of evidence to back them up, they take the obvious and don't look deeper into it, likfe to try and find any symbolism and such in it.
Well, anyway, Hermione'sTwin, I think there is a topic on here about H/Hr moments. But anyway, mine would be, hmm...(all of them)...but to be more specific...I really liked him worrying aobut her in DOM but R/Hr's can backfire that right back at you, but also use the fact of JKR quotes too! Um...Athena's essay about those it really good. Oh and also Harry and Hermione seem to do more important things together, like Grawp and it was Hermione's idea with DA and Harry thought it was a "brillant" idea..and all that jazz. Oh, and the fact that Ron being jealous all the time (of Krum) and the fact that he constantly argues with her, oh and the fact that he calls Hermione a know-it-all like 3 times a week (that can really damage someones confidence if they keep hearing crap like that!) is not a strong basis for a relationship. La La La...I am going on and on...sorry.
Love and Luck,
Shayna

Athena's essay is awesome...and yeah, H/Hr do all the important things together....even the Buckbeak thing. Yeah, I don't see much R/Hr evidence...other than JKR's quotes...nope, sorry.

Definitely bake her the pumpkin pie...and the essays and everything else. If anyone has an open mind they could get converted to this ship.

Dang it, I was
this close. I actually persuaded my friend into coming here, telling her that we talk about everything here at PK. She said she'd drop by and check it out. But alas, fate or whatever you believe in intervened again. She couldn't get on the internet because her dad (a freaking jerk, mind you) wouldn't allow her to use the computer

. I guess I'll just have to try again.

If at first you don't sucecced, switch to a bigger gun and keep at it! Our ship stops for no one, but Pumpkineers and soon to be pumpkineers!

here is some advice..you can tell your friend. Read Hps Book 1 though book5. that is all H/hr moment for you. or just go to this Thread Harry/Hermione. that is all you needed. Hope it will change your friend mind. I really hated when someone didn't make RIGHT SHIP.

HarHermlove4ever is right. If you point out a few H/Hr moments, and she re-reads the books, she may look at it from a different perspective....

You could tell her to re-read Ootp again-but tell her to look at the H/Hr side and then the R/Hr side and ask which ship haves a stronger bond between them and are closer to each other.
I think you already know which!

Ask her over to Portkey( which I think you already did) and tell her to check out the posts that remain on topic or to take a look at the essays.
But for some reason, I think we will scare her off when she comes across Innuendo mentioned posts.
KaiserDragon
Oct 10 2003, 12:38 PM
That's because new Pumpkineers need to be eased into H/Hr. Then we shall introduce Gutter City.
Our Gutter City is being run by a crazy woman. Scaring her off would be an understatement.
Facade
Oct 10 2003, 01:11 PM
Aw. Nielle isn't crazy she is just a bit--eccentric--yes, that's the right word. She is just a bit dedicated to her Innuendo side. 'S not bad at all.
KaiserDragon
Oct 10 2003, 02:03 PM
She has 4 personalities... she could be developing a 5th as we speak. Worse yet, PoA and Book6 are still a year away... How many more personalities will emerge by then?
One of her sides is eccentric, one is boring, the other is indecent, and the last is harms virgin ears. Altogether... krazy for H/Hr...
jackryan411
Oct 10 2003, 02:52 PM
Lol, Nielle probably loves all the publicity her sides are getting over Portkey. But yeah, just show them here, let her re-read Books 3-5 and the hug scene from Book 1 and she'll be fine.

Oct 10 2003, 09:56 PM
*cackles* Gutter City is concealed by a variation of the Fidelius Charm. The City is revealed when the Newbie ackownledges their Innuendo Side.
Sandra, many thanks on the eccentric comment, but I don't mind if people call me crazy.

2 Sides in unison: Thankyou for the compliments!
Swearing Side: Mmpphh! (muzzled)
Logical Side: I'm boring?!?!?

But, but... I'm functional!
Jack, Innuendo loves the publicity, Logical doesn't. Shippy and Swearing don't care. Shippy is just waitng for JKR to release the next book and Swearing just wants to lose that muzzle.
Indeed, to convert your friend, they should meet the 4 of me last. But I seep in.

Dazzle your friend with logic and symbolism and very eloquent and convincing arguments, and then, when they are a fully fledged Pumpkineer, I will strike.

Shippy Side: Logical Side has her place. She protects me from all those nasty threads that ask What if H/Hr doesn't happen? *cowers* Somebody has to be boring... I bet the Mods wish she'd put in more appearances than she is right now.

*huggles Jess* Aww... Aramas is right, you're dysfunctional. Ain't it great? Only a quarter of me is functional. And I think there will be more splitting soon....it's gonna be messy. I may have to lay down newspaper to protect the floors...

Hehe

. And I was just watching Star Trek not too long ago.
You know, I think I'm hitting my stride. Most of the conversations I have with my friend I somehow twist into HP. Then I casually mention PK. It's a very slow process, but I'm patient. It's not like I'm going to walk up to her and yell, "YOU MUST LIKE H/HR!" I'd never be able to talk to her about anything ever again.

Aramas, it must've slipped...and Sandra, it's Swearing Side, not Smart Side. Thats why it took so long.

I bet the Mods are very glad for the icons.

Swearing Side is kinda like Silent Bob, but not by choice.

Hermione's Twin: I can bring any conversation round to HP, even with people who don't read it! Funny that I have so much trouble staying on-topic here.

Jack's right, those videos are fantastic! They will butter your friend up when she reads all those H/Hr arguments!

Sandra, do you use OSX? Natalie's files are wmv files, and Microsoft does make a Windows Media Player for OSX, but I don't know about the other OSes.

Games are a right pain in the arse too. Have you ever tried to play computer games on a Mac? It's horrible. Swore off Macs right after.
Still, at least Sandra should be able to watch Natalie's stuff... They're so good.

It's going, albeit slow. But I'm having a lot of fun. I think the best moment I had was when I was talking to my friend about HP and my usual lab partner turned around and looked at me in shock. "You're into that stuff?" he asked. When I told him I'm completely obsessed with HP he said that I'm way too mature for it. I laughed and told him that I'm not as mature as he thinks. HP is for everyone, mature and immature. I think he thinks I'm crazy now

. So, if I'm crazy, then so are about 2 million others.
jackryan411
Oct 14 2003, 02:32 PM
A lot more than that! There's a lot of people who read Harry (gotta be in the millions)....and well, if that guy thinks you're too mature for HP, he's wrong. HP is mature...at least when Harry's not checking out Hermione's arse.
