What people don't get is that Innuendo is PG-13 even with all the bamboo,wand, and broomstick talks. It's your mind that converts it to the R-rating.
Exactly right...for example, your average five year old wouldn't get all this talk about wands and broomsticks and rides.

As for any non-believers, let's see...my sister, who saw the hug scene in the CoS movie and thought it was cute *gag*, a neutral friend who wound up being my beta reader for my fanfic, and...I'm not quite sure about my mom. She doesn't mention much about HP, although I talk about it constantly. She's currently reading GoF, so I'll ask her at the end of the book because I'm re-reading OotP. But she's really weird and doesn't ship. Anything. Really. When I talked about shipping she thought I was talking about mailing something, as in "shipping and handling"

Lol...shipping and handling, that's good. My dad thinks it's going to be R/Hr and so does my brother. I am a loner...my only other friend that reads HP (Amanda) is an OHBWF shipper. I am all alone.... 
Aww, poor Jack. I send my sympathies, because I used to feel the same way. First it was that no one else like HP, then it was that no one else was a H/Hr shipper. But spending time here makes up for all of those lonely feelings.

Alot of my friends have read HP, and most of them are casual R/Hr shippers. Never met a lunatic fan like myself in RL yet. Once I get going arguing HP couples with my RL friends, they back off immediately and go, "Okay, okay, Harry and Hermione will get together, you win". Apparently I become intimidating when I argue. 
My mom and sister are still convinced that it'll be R/Hr, though. Neither of them have read OotP yet, so I may yet be able to convert them. *evil laugh*

Heck, I yelled out Friday night as we were preparing to leave for a football game that both Sensible and Flirt need to come here. I was telling them all about this place. I even told them that they don't have to ship to come here because we have a general HP discussion board too. I think I'll just paint a sign that says "Portkey Rocks!" and stick it on my forehead. Maybe that'll get their attention.
Hmm...OotP might change their mind. But you should really try to get them on here...this is a great place. That forehead thing might work.

Hmmm...I think the strongest points you can make are definitely in the PA forum, as we've said before. Just hit her with a couple Mad-Eyed Mike essays and she'll be suckered in. Also, have Flirt help you.
Remember what I said before. She actually thinks H/Hr is going to happen and if Flirt and I keep talking about it, she'll probably join in. But then again, it doesn't help that Ron is her favorite character. She's secretly rooting for Ron to get a girl.

Regardless of its admins, the mods are pretty unbiased and dont take kindly to bashing, no matter how subtle.

They do! They do! They complement each other in a Ron/Luna way, much like Harry and Hermione complement each other in a Harry/Hermione way
