OUTLINE/RESTRICTIONS FOR HARRY'S 6TH YEAR:
* Story must begin at Privet Drive. Harry can stay at Number Twelve, Grimmauld Place after July 31 (remember the protection thing) but he CANNOT go to the Burrow as it is NOT protected against Voldemort or the Headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix.
* At the start of the story, Harry and Hermione are not entirely aware of their feelings for each other. Please refrain from having them "suddenly" proclaim their love for each other. Develop their relationship as the story progresses. And as a general rule, the two cannot snog until the end of the year approaches (around the time the battle with Voldemort). There can be plenty of teasers where the two are almost about to kiss, but they will always be interupted until the end. [NOTE: Please try to keep the teasers under control and relevant to the situations that take place in the story.]
* Voldemort will not be vanquished (it only being Harry's sixth year) but he will be defeated.
* Ron and Hermione must learn of Harry's prophecy. How they learn is up to the writers.
* The three Gryffindor Quidditch matches should occur during the story...though how the games go and who wins the Quidditch cup can be decided by the writers.
* Hermione and Ron's birthdays will occur in the story.
* Classes for Harry should include: Defense Against the Dark Arts, Charms, Transfiguration, Care of Magical Creatures, Herbology, Divination (Firenze will continue to be the teacher, while the role of Trelawney can be determined by the writers), and Occlumency (with Snape).
I hope you all have a fun time writing and I can't wait to see where this story goes!

QUOTE
As dusk casts its bright red glow among the horizon, a young boy with a mop of unruly, black hair stares out towards the sunset. Harry swang back and forth on the wooden swing, the rusty chains creaking against the handle in disapproval as he stared out into space, lost in thought. Why? Harry would ask himself over and over again. Why? Why did he have to die? Why did he leave me? Why was I so stupid? I should have used the mirror. Hermione was right. I was wrong…

[QUOTE]Hermione is always right. It's just... Hermione.
Looking towards the sunset, the shapes of buildings providing a frame, he thought, unknowingly sliding his hand through his already ruffled hair. Looking into the sky, the scrawny boy reflected on the happenings of the past year.
First; A swarm of hooded figures approaching him. A sharp pain in his head. He touched it, absent-mindedly. A stag, errupting from his wand. Chasing the hooded figures away. Turning, seeing a plump boy, cowering on the ground, the figure bending low over the boy. The stag chased down the figure, and the scrawny boy buckles under the pressure exerted. He was helping his cousin home, with a batty old woman along beside him, barking out words; "Don't put it away."
