draco/ginny is the best ship ever. it seems to have a big fan following, but there is so much G and PG. Its really hard to find a good R or NC-17. I come here and there are like 3 d/g's. the rest are almost all harry/hermione! other sites, also have very limited d/g. if i could write well, i would, but i can't for stories and such. D/G just screams scandal-that's so much to work with

i dont know if you have heard about the website but there is a website called http://www.restrictedsection.org/splash.html here there are a lot of NC-17 and R fics of every type. allthough some of them might be slash and of other pairings.

714, are you serious all you come across is G and PG?!?!?!? All i can ever find is R and NC-17 *sighs* next time i come across one i'll let you know. Sorry this post is sort of pointless but yeah...

If U Go To Restrictedsection.org...there are TONS of them there...and there are alot u can find at other places also

For a nice D/G NC-17 fic, I would reccomed Carole's 36 Hours. It's part of the PoU-verse. You don't really have to have read PoU and sequels, or ASA and ASC to understand. If you're looking for an extremely well-written, humourous bit of fiction that I guarantee will make the temperature rise a couple degrees in the room then click that link.

Oh there's a tonne of good R fic going about for D/G - but you hvae to be willing to brave ff.net or scower the archives for them. Obviously one of the best is Serpent's Bride but I also really recommend Love & War and Sunday, Bloody Sunday. There's tonnes more about as well - most of the ones I read are rated R because of their subject line so if you want something a little more risky then I don't know that many

Sarea and Jade have some of the best D/G fic I've read. They only have a few stories, but the characterizations are spot on (at least as much as they can be for Ginny, who, you have to admit, is not exactly a developed character) and the stories are well-developed. Our Winter and The Hours Inbetween are wonderful. Plus, both get racy! Woohoo! Just as a sidenote though, as we have some lovely R/Hr's here (*waves hi to them*), the other major ship in those stories is H/H. Here's the link to their page: Sarea and Jade. I highly recommend these stories.

Just wanted to say to Marianne that I love that quote in your sig from DS also, I had it as my siggy at FAPark a few weeks ago.
Anyway, I also want agree with Cenire to heartily endorse Carole's A Sirius Change at Schnoogle, which is my favorite post-Hogwarts D/G story, it's R rated, and Draco and Ginny are just so steamy and soulmatey together. For the *really good stuff* though, you'd have to join Lori's PoU group, where all the Nc-17 outtakes (including 36 hours) for ASC are.

restricted is great, but they dont have a lot of D/G

and what can i say i'm easily squicked...some of these other pairings are too wierd for me.

Yeah, restricedsection is limited on D/G, Magical Theory is still kinda small (and completely unsorted and unrated), and ff.net is kinda unreliable as far as good fics go....There isn't much D/G ficcy-ness here, so I'm adding one to the measely sort.


Mine will probably have to go R once I get farther into it. I was going to do a R/H side plot, but may end up switching it to H/H, cause I like them together anyway.... Anyone have any ideas for little plotlets of my story? I'm looking for input...*ponders*

Well, i am not sure if i agree with you. Then there is another website SnitchFiction Which mostly contains NC-17 story. There are loads of Nc-17 stories there. And if anyone has written any nc-17 fic please tell me....I always love to read them. I myself (shamelessly) have written an NC-17, but well....lets not talk ab0ut it..

I'm sure everybody in here has already read this, but Cassie Claire's stuff is what really turned me on to D/G and the latest of Draco Veritas is R now, so that's an incredible fic. You've probably all read it, but nobody has mentioned it, so I thought I'd bring it up. Also, I know there's Magical Theory and the Pumpkin Pie websites, but does anybody know of a site devoted to Pumpkin Pies and Mai Tais fics?

Hey guys! We need to start pulling our D/G weight around here! There's 8 pages of H/Hr fanfic, and only one of D/G.....D/G writers (or could be D/G writers) should post! Lol... Anyone have a newly posted or written D/G fanfic they'd like to promote?

Cassendra claire writes D/G? Phew! the only scene i remember is in DS. But i never thought she turned people towards reading D/G. What turned me was MochaButterfly and lately Sky_is_blue and Kaykos.

ok, so there are actually quite a few R's-some really good, some not so much, but NC-17's are very limited for D/G. Snitchfiction has tons of higher rated fics, but very few are D/G.

Obliviate by poseur Great fic with--I think--unique plot. One of the most canonical!Draco's I have ever read. He's just the biggest bastard ever in this fic. Which is why I like it an awful lot. And none of that ' Hmm...Ginny Weasley doesn't look half bad...' ^__^

Well, there are a lot of D/G ficcies on FFN. I have a D/G fic called Bride of a Dragon under the penname Katrina there but I thought it was a bit too uninnocent to post here, so I didn't. Maybe when it's slightly better I'll provide the link...

Cassie's stuff is excellent, however....

For all you that don't know yet, the fic might not necessarily end in D/G romance. So if you're devoted, and I mean helplessly to this ship and will flail Cass for not having finished it D/G, then don't read it.

Otherwise, read it and laugh, cry, and hug yourself. Its an awesome story, with an awesome plot. The moments with D/G will make you wring your hands, cry your eyes out, and above all hope to god that Cassie will be kind and end it like you want.

I'm thinking of trying to write an NC17 fic. I really love the good D/G smut. It's incredible. I think I'm actually reading more D/G than H/Hr now. I can't get enough. I wish I was a better writer though. And I'm going to start reviewing everything I read now because it seems like D/G doesn't get many reviews. Maybe thats why people don't write as much of that pairing? Just a guess. I think I'll start a personal campaign to do that. We need MORE FICS!

Nothing wrong with H/Hr. But trust me, this is the ship to be on So write away. If you need someone to beta or something for you, I'd gladly do it! D/G gets some writing, but some of its really overdone and most of its lower rated. Not there is anything wrong with lower ratings-some of my fav. fics have lower ratings. I just love the other stuff

And I hope I don't get in trouble for saying this-but I really hate Draco with Hermione or Harry. Both of those are huge right now.

Seriously, no one really reviews D/G fics cause they are stuck on H/Hr.....Personally, I consider how many people are reading the story instead of how many people review it. I check the number of hits on the latest chapter, because generally, if you click up to the 3rd chapter, you're reading it. I have about 45 or so hits on my last chapter, but only one review (which wasn't bad, yay!)....lots of people just don't review! I second your review campaign.... if something so easy as a click or two can brighten someone's day, it's worth it.

I wont agree with you that no one really reviews D/G fics. Its my personal experience that on ff.net and here also More people review D/G fics. But then again you might not agree..

I agree with MMM. I think most people review D/G as much as anything else they read.
It just depends on what's read. The only time I won't review is if I've read it, and don't
like it. I don't wanna insult anyone and I think flaming is very rude. Even then I try to find
one aspect I might like, and comment on that.

We need to keep this thread up! I'll so fic hunting and come back with a good list.

I agree! Well, I forgot about my fic, I guess... "Finding Forever", which has 3 chapters up, but I have it written and typed through Ch. 5. My beta hasn't gotten either back to me as of yet...

Anyone have any non-famous fics they'd like to recommend? By non-famous I mean newer or lesser reviewed fics that aren't publicized well..... A famous example would include anything everyone's been talking about for ages, like Cassandra Claire's Draco Trilogy or Reiko's "Serpent Bride".....

The Unwanted by SnapeJuice at ff.net is a very sweet, original fic about Draco and Ginny's daughters going back in time to meet their parents before their marriage. Okay I suck at descriptiosn *copies summary* Leah, daughter and witness to the unhappy marriage between her parents, Draco and Ginny, is transported back in time with her little sister in order to save themselves from an unknown adversary. It's an excellent read and the author is planning on posting the final chapter today, I believe.

But, just special new for you people here at portkey, I've decided that I'm going to continue The Perfect Boyfriend (Three Ways to Find Him) only I think I'm going to give it a different title; the one it has now is way too long.

OH! Okay, there's this really great new D/G fic that I found at ff.net, and I was reading it, and I noticed that it had no where near as many reviews that it should. And perhaps that should be blamed on the fact that there are lots of cliched fics appearing at ff.net that would probably turn readers off of a story like hers. But, her's is really good, the author is Jane Valar, and the story is The Sense. It's very good and I recommend it to you all. Review it for her!!! It's a great story, and she writes really well!!!!!!

Malfoy Invasion: After an "eventful" summer, Draco returns to Hogwarts in a darker mood than usual and with the help of his three cousins, maybe he could find the light in Ginny Weasley.

Slytherin Style: Draco and Ginny are a couple but there's really no love in the relationship (or is there?) and just when Ginny was having second thoughts, Draco and the Slytherin Team just had to do something so...musical.
