Ron and Hermione bicker about all the little things. Imagine
if they got together and argued about more important things. Things would be thrown and broken

That is so true!! Siblings never cry when they argue. It's always the people in relationships. Great thinking!!

Yeah! Great point...I don't see Hermione crying when Ron makes fun of her. She just fights back...anyway, I can't believe this---I read the two editorials of Mugglenet and I can't believe both guys think that R/Hr are dating during this book. If they were and they hadn't told Harry...(*makes violent gesture in mid-air)...I don't think Hermione would be as inconsiderate not to tell Harry.

I read those two editorials a few days ago too and I was so angry when one (or maybe both?) thought that R/Hr were dating "off the pages." And a lot of the evidence they used can easily be contradicted by ours.

I hate when important official sites like Mugglenet or TLC make irresponsible editorials like that (TLC thankfully doesn't)...sure, they can do whatever they want, but as an important news site, I think they should exercise some more restraint. Plus, I think they should hire at least ONE H/Hr supporter as an editorialist to give a fair and balanced view of things (both sides would be able to state their opinions). Maybe like Mad-Eye Mike or Sirius83...

I agree. It should be way more balanced.. they shouldnt use their 'power' to convince people of R/Hr. Some people are Harry Potter fans and want to learn about the couples and who to believe in. If its only R/Hr fans talking, they'll think that this is the only popular couple, and right away ship with them!! They'll never know about the wonderful H/Hr ship we know and love! I remember when I first went on Harry Potter sites, I never once saw someone support H/Hr on Mugglenet and sites like that... EVERYONE seemed to think that R/Hr were going to get together, so I just went along with them.. (still not really liking them as a couple but thinking they would get together!! But then I found H/Hr fan fic, liked them, looked for sites, got convinced that they would happen, and as they say, the rest is history!! but some people, unlike me, are too lazy to go out and look for answers. If they saw that, then they would be convinced. How unfair!!!

I agree! If they were going out already, then Harry would know about it.. I dont think Hermione for one, would be so mean, im not quite sure about ron! lol.
And even if they were, come on you know and I know that they would never last! Arguing all the time! It would be horrible!

| A friend of mine made this statement about Harry/Hermione's fight in OotP. "Ron has never made Hermione cry." I personally believed then and believe now, it is only the one you love who can cause so much heartbreak that you would cry. I never cried when my brothers and I fought, but everytime I'm with someone I'm even interested in dating and we fight, I'm completely miserable. I have never seen Hermione miserable when fighting with Ron. Only with Harry or when she's been fighting with both of them. And through all that, it has been Harry that Hermione continues to support no matter what. Frogive any babbling. |
Definetly! Hermione has never cried in an argument with Ron.. hmm but she HAS cried when both Harry and Ron were mad at her (in PoA) Maybe Harry's opinion of her is much more important to her, then Ron's opinion, which she couldnt care less about. And remember, after they saw the Giant, Harry and Hermione walked back and Hermione was criticizing Hagrid.. Harry gave her a mean look and she almost cried! Whenever her and Ron argue (which is often), she never cries!!!!
Maybe we're onto something!! Oh, I hope so.

lol! I agree! Hmm the song kind of sounds like them... except Harry hasnt pushed Hermione's feelings to the side, because we're not even sure if she has feelings yet.
*joins in singing* Im just a fool who's willing to sit around and wait for you! But baby cant you see, theres nothing else for me to do! My heart is not the first heart broken! My eyes are not the first to cry! But baby cant you see, theres no getting over you! Im hopelessly devoted tooo yooou! But now, theres no where to hide! Since you pushed my love aside! Alright, in my head (not sure about those lyrics) Hopelessly devoted tooo yoouuu hoplessly DEVOTEEEDDDD too youuuuu OOOOHHH OOh ooh ooh ooh! Hopelessly devoted to yoouuu OOOOOHHHHH!

yeah, it does seem that harry's approval/opinion of her matters more. hermione's become quite attached to him, which is all we can say for sure, though we feel there's more, of course.

*swoons* i love that song!!! "hopelessly devoted to you" by olivia newton-john!!! "grease" is one of my all-time favorite movies

!!! (once more, with feeling...) "...hold on the end...that's what i intend to doooo...i'm hopelessly devoted to yoooouuuu..."

I only frequent three places in the fandom now. Here, TLC (how I loff it so) and FAP when I'm feeling brave

The official boards: AAARGH! So much "yoyoyoyo biatchez my sn iz IwubHp I am da bigst HP fan EVA n if u dis mi cru i will bash u wiv a big stik. Dannniel Radcluffe [sic] iz ma boi n we r gunna ger marid so u lot cn jst get LOST! hahahah" and *what* is with the uber-long signatures? NO NEED!
And I so agree with Harry always being the one who makes Hermione cry - I think I need to have words with him!

Ron and Hermione are the quintessential siblings. I never made my sisters cry. I just pulled their hair. Which *did* make them cry, but you know what I mean...

Obviously I love my sisters, but arguing with my boi is far worse than arguing with them.

I completely agree with you guys. R/Hr are like brother and sister; they argue endlessly and pointlessly about trivial things, and Hermione doesn't enjoy the arguments and she thinks that they are annoying. On the other hand, Hermione is very passionate when she's arguing with Harry. She is looking for his well-being and cares so much about him that she refuses to back down. When R/Hrs fight, Hermione gets to a certain point when she's so exasperated that she just leaves. (Yule Brawl and Crookshanks...) but she would never abandon Harry when they have their disagreements; instead, they work together to find a solution, and she moves toward him to make him see her point; in return, he moves toward her. So much symbolism...

I'm still singing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hehe! I also don't think that Harry has has pushed Hermione's love aside since they still don't have that particular love for each other. But you never know! That could happen and then Harry realizes he does love Hermione and then they live happily ever after and they go in a flying car while everyone at Hogwarts is singing that song. I believe it's the song that goes like, "You're they one that I want, one that I want ooh ooh ooh!" or something like that! HA! I AM SO HYPER!

LOL yeah, in grease they sing that song, while Danny and Sandy drive away IN A FLYING CAR!!! They should totally have that as an end to HP!! With Harry and Hermione!! Or a BROOMSTICK!!! They could fly off, Hermione holding Harry tight.

Mmm makes ya feel all warm and cozzy inside *snuggles a pillow* Haha! It would be cool if our 'Grease idea' would happen, but it probably wont! And yes, I adore Grease too! Its SUCH a good movie!!!!!! The songs are so catchy too! hehe.
And for everyone else, good points! I agree with everyone as usual. We have such smart ideas. Yes, yes we do.

The whole thing with Ron not being the one that makes Hermione cry is completly resonable. Why would someone cry about such trivial things? (especially a strong character like Hermione's) Unless she's in love with him. Which, she isn't, becuase she hasn't cried over his fights.
The Harry and Hermione relationship is so beautiful in my opinion. No offense to R/Hr shippers, but I think the main reson why they want them together is because they think Ron is deprived (which is a load of bull) and it'll be something different. It's trendy. Nothing like what the real thing is.
I find it horrible that people just want to throw Harry with someone whom he hardly knows. The guy has gad such a horrible life, and he's only 15. Could he have atleast one thing worth living for please? If he continues in his cycle, he won't be a flaming!angst, more of a subtle!angst...but it is very likely that he will start having very disturbing thoughts of offing himself...and other such things.
Now, don't get me wrong...I'm not implying anything, I'm just saying, is the least Harry deserves is Hermione...make that the most. ^.^
Personally, I find it out of Hermione's character to even consider Ron. She's so wraped up in Harry, and so devoted to him, that it'd seem a bit off to have her dating...at this stage any rate.
Seriously, after the fifth book, if they got any closer, they'd have to be surgically removed....

I GOT THE WARM FUZZIES! EEEEEEEEE! I am still hyper and loving it! Oh that would be such a good ending to HP. You know we should do like an online version of Grease with HP characters or something! it probably wouldn't work but HEY! it would be interesting. and Ron could find love too so he won't be left out. hmm i gotta watch Grease again and see how everyone from HP fits in.... *starts singing YOU'RE THE ONE THAT I WANT ONE THAT I WANT OOH OOH OOH HONEY!*

Surgically removed!

I think Hermione is the only real loyal friend Harry has. I mean, Ron ditched him in GOF, just like the whole entire school! But who was still there for Harry? Hermione! Omg, now I'm getting more excited of seeing all the time they spend alone in GOF in the movie!

Frostbite Panda-- great ideas.. I completely agree, especially with your point that the R/Hr fans probably really like the ship because they feel that Ron is deprived. That makes sense (not to me that Ron is deprived, but hey! they have their own opinions!)
And LadyMagi-- lol!!! Yeah that'd be funny! Ron can be with Luna!!
