QUOTE(Conan @ Dec 30 2007, 11:52 AM) *

What I meant to ask was...Where did the quote "Do you trust me?" Come up in the books? As in, what situation..

Thanks tongue.gif

oh umm.. i think it was when they were escaping from the ministry or something like that. and then they held on to each other and got away heart.gif
Conan
I most definitely will ALWAYS go for Harry and Hermione... thumbup.gif

Thanks!
GuardianMedic
The "do you trust me" was when they were escaping from the snatchers/death-eaters at the Lovegood place. Hermione and Harry held hands and she asked him, "do you trust me?" he looks at her and nods. She then proceeds the explode the gouse and the floor beneath their feet (they were on the second floor)...

One of my favorite moments in HP period. Romantic or not, this shows trust, communication and understanding between them that will always be lacking in R/Hr IMO...

completely and totally agree with you. when Ron abandoned them, i have to admit i saw it coming but it was still kinda shocking. but i think because of that Harry and Hermione's relationship got stronger.
GuardianMedic
BTW D&&D, I like your avatar... It's biggrin.gif thumbup.gif
TerranOvermind
Isn't it funny how some of the best Harry/Hermione moments in the ENTIRE series show up in the last book that ultimately reveals OBHWF?

Sigh...*passes butterbeer and pumpkin pie to everyone* Cheers...

For me, you can never go wrong with the books and cleverness speech, but I simply love Harry and Hermione's interactions before and during the entire Ministry of Magic situation in OotP. It was like they were one person. And Harry's reaction after Hermione was attacked told me flat out and point blank that Hermione had Harry's heart and no other girl would ever compare to what they had together. wub.gif
GuardianMedic
*laughing at anvils* indeed.... biggrin.gif thumbup.gif

I'm in complete agreement with you friend. Acting as one way outshines the Yule Ball Brawl R/Hr had that apparently showed how much they cared avout each other... whistling.gif
Conan
I remember that scene now, thanks GuardianMedic.

*Takes the butterbeer and pumking pie...hmmmm.*

Absolutely true! No matter what they say to me about Harry and Hermione, no matter how many times they say "their relationship is only friends"...I wonīt swallow it.Itīs more than that. So if Hermione loves Ron sosososoososoososososoososososoososos much...why doensīt she leave with him? Why? Why? Why?...Because she doesnīt love him! Duh!

I really canīt stand that scene when Ron says that they have to save the elfs too and Hermione finally kisses him... yucky.gif ... How many times has Harry beign helpful towards other creatures?...Come on!

Another of my favorite scenes is when (believe itīs in GoF) Harry has the dream of Cho asking for chocolate frogs and then she turns into Hermione asking for his Firebolt. Why is this my favorite scene...well. I once read this great ARTICLE, absolutely wonderful, and thatīs where I got the next explanation from (the merits go for the person that wrote that article, I donīt remember their name, and IN NOW WAY did I think this up, itīs knowledge that has been passed on to me)

Cho is asking Harry for chocolate frogs... Cholocate is a sweet, sweet is related to affection...Cho is asking Harry for him to take his role up on their relationship. She wants Harry to show more affection towards her, more consideration, like Cedric used to do.

Then CHO TURNS INTO HERMIONE....HOLY MOLLY. Choīs crush evolves into his true love...HERMIONE. And she is asking for his firebolt...do you think that weird? What is Harryīs most priced posession? His firebolt (his heart!...his love!). Which he hasnīt yet given to ANYONE, and is scared to do so.And who is asking for it? WHO?...HERMIONE!

Well feast on that!
GuardianMedic
I like that explanation Conan, but I don't think non-Harmonians would even see it as valid.... because there are too many assumptions.

But I lliked it. It was cool. cool.gif
lovesharry
Oh my, there are so many favorite Harmony moments to have to choose from and to have to choose just one is difficult. But, I'm going to say that the scene at Bill and Fleur's wedding is one that leaves the non-H/Hr shippers speechless and with their jaws on the floor. I'm referring to the scene where Bill and Fleur are exchanging vows and Hermione looks at Harry, and he at her, with apparent tenderness. wub.gif No doubt the non-Harmony shippers turn green with envy whenever that scene is mentioned as being very pro-H/Hr. Shouldn't Harry be looking at Ginny instead of at Hermione?! And, Hermione should be batting her eyes at Ron! I truly love that scene ... makes me a little misty eye everytime I think about it. 59.gif

You know, I'd like to hear the explanation from Rowling herself as to why she wrote that scene the way she did. What the heck was she thinking (smoking or drinking)! whistling.gif tsk tsk tsk Is Hermione still getting away from her?
Conan

You see, no matter how many clues that show that Harry and Hermione are meant to be, non-Harmony believers will ALWAYS find a way to say that our clue is wrong based. You see for that scene on the wedding J.K. would probably say that she meant for it to be symbolic along the lines of " no matter who they end up with Harry and Hermioneīs friendship will last on forever and ever and ever..they are bonded for live as two best friends, towards the brother sister line"

Which I canīt swallow at all. That wedding scene is beautiful.
Rose Potter
cannot agree more.. the "bonded for lofe" scene is hilarious...
QuickQuotesQuill
The look Hermione gave Harry during Bills' wedding sealed the deal for me! The 'bonded for life' line and the way she was looking at him really gave me hope for the rest of DH, but alas, i guess it wasn't meant to be!! mad2.gif

Yeah, the scene where Ron is concerned about the house elves and Hermione kisses him annoyed me too, especially since a couple chapters before that, when Dobby died, who was outside (by himself!) digging his grave (without magic!)?? Harry!!

But yeah, the wedding scene is probably my fav. scene! thumbup.gif

Duh!

You know, in my language's Harry Potter OoTP, the word 'turns' was translated inte a word that means 'look towards', not 'transforms into'... Ahhh... How could the translator misinterpret that! I never read English HP except for DH...

all of yours fav is mine also.. heart.gif
especially that part from D.H at that Bill and fleur's wedding, when that powerful and wonderful statement: "We now declare you two Bonded to life" with Hermione turning beaming at "Harry" not Ron "so-called her hushand" my ass!

Yes, I still don't understand what were Mrs.Jo 'drinking' or 'smoking' when she wrote that, and end up writing one of most insulting and iddiot ending. Maybe she didn't think at all. whistling.gif

Oh I do love this topic! Ok:

Book One:
The Troll I mean that is just too cute!
The bravery speech by Hermione. That girl made fandom history and HP history and part of Harry James Potter's history with that lovely speech!
AND she gave her his first (that he can remember) hug! Squeee!!

Book Two:
When she got petrified! heart.gif It's early stages of love I tell ya!

Book Three:
How Harry stands up for her.
Saving Sirius.
How she tries to protect Harry.
Harry caring for her well-being.

Book Four:
LAKE LAKE LAKE scene!!! I mean how can you NOT love that!?
Kiss on the cheek so cute. And it's odd how JKR never showed the reaction. Trying to hide something Ms.Rowling? I am delusional rolleyes.gif tongue.gif and proud of it!

Book Five:
Gosh how can one choose?
Okay the Solidarity and Loyalty by Hermione speech.
And *choking on tears* that gorgeous scene when Hermione collapses *cry* so sweet!

Book Six:
Definetely all the flirting. Seriously there was actually a lot!
McLaggen confunding and Ron looked at them suspiciously and the quickly broke apart. Everyone says it's because it was because McLaggen was confunded so they didn't want Ron to know. *theme music* But you can't deny the facts it's a classic guilty reaction of being caught if you get what I mean. LOL. That was sooo cute.
Filch and Pince flirting convo. And what struck me about that was this part:
QUOTE
It's not my fault she's barking mad, Hermione. Or d'you think she overheard you being rude about Filch? I've always thought there might be something going on between them...'
'Oh, ha, ha...'
Enjoying the fact that they could speak normally again

That last line was what struck me the most.
Fanciable comment.
Hug at the end.
The look on her face when Harry left...

Book Seven:
WAY too many gorgeous ones but here goes
Tasty comment
Wedding scene the whole parts and in there she turned towards Harry even though he was Polyjuiced. Sheesh the girl must love him a lot lol!
Godric's Hollow
Forhead
Loyalty
Ministry
Trust Scene

There;s a lot but those are my faves.

I guess if I could pick one significant moment from each of the books it would be:

SS/PS-The friendship, bravery speech followed by what would become a very hauntingly beautiful hug between them.

COS-Seeing that she had woken up after being petrified and running toward him.

POA-Definitely the entire time-turner sequence, because it is H/Hr at their best, being the great partnership that would grow deeper over the rest of the series.

GOF-Hermione kissing Harry on the cheek, because after the year he had,she gives him a better reward than winning the tournament.

OOTP-Without a doubt his horror at seeing her struck by the curse and his relief when Neville tells him she's alive.

HBP-Hermione's obvious look of worry of what Harry is going to face before he leaves to meet with Dumbledore. I got the feeling she wanted to tell him something, but she kept it to herself. The way Harry has to tell her not to look at him like that, spoke volumes to me as to how much she loved him and her fear of what might happen to him.

DH- It's a tie because two significant moments stand out for me. The first is H/Hr looking at eachother during the wedding while Bill and Fleur are pronounced "bonded for life". The second is the equally beautiful Godric's Hollow scene. I think the Godic's Hollow scene mirrors the hug in SS/PS,because it shows full circle what these two characters mean to eachother and how impossible it is for them to be together.

Clearly H/Hr was the best written couple in the series, yet JKR tries to convince the readers that they were sibling-like only. I think the evidence everyone here mentioned before proved otherwise.
Harry/Hermione 4eva
Right lets seeee...

PS/SS- The friendship and bravery speech. Of course!

CoS- Hermione is petrified.

PoA- the whole time turner bit- perfect and classic H/Hr there. They work so perfectly together! And, of course the whole flying on Buckbeak thing wub.gif

GoF- Hermione helping him and standing by him the whole time. Even when everyone else turned away from him Hermione never once doubted him. And of course the kiss at the end!!

OotP- The pure panic Harry feels when Hermione is struck down in the battle. And then the overwhelming relief he felt when he knows she's not dead... making him "light headed" I think the term was. (I dont have my books with me so I don't know the exact quote)
Oh oh oh and how Harry defends Hermione when she put the charm on the coins and Cho says something about it. Cho's comment of "If it was darling Hermione's idea!" hehe. Thats right Cho, darling Hermione.
Oooh and the "but I dont think you're ugly" bit.

HBP- Fanciable comment. Of course.

DH- Harry and Hermione looking at each other during Bill and Fleurs wedding... That spoke volumes to me...

Delusional, perhaps. Proud, most definitely!
LONG LIVE HARMONY! heart.gif

Mustn't forget Bucbeak I mean the had in the cover whistling.gif I don't recall seeing Gin-Gin on the cover do you? innocent.gif This is fitting though twisted.gif I mean I do love Voldemort. No one realized how absolutley cute he was till that comic aww! biggrin.gif tongue.gif LOL!

Anyways what other moments. So hard to choose. Oh I liked it when Hermione complained "bitterly" about Harry liking Fleur. Very funny scene with a lot of underlying things. That Rowling she really sucks at trying to convince me it's alll might OBHWF. *in soothing cool voice* Come to the dark side, you cannot resist...join us!.

I loved loved GH and bonded for life. squee!!!!!!!!!! And how Harry and Hermione worked in tandem and how he re-assured her in Nagini!Bathilda's house. Seriously it brings tears to my eyes tongue.gif . It's a lovely part. I love it heart.gif
