Full Version: Valentine's Day Fic-a-Thon
Now that you've eaten all of your candy and you're terribly bored, how abtout you write a Valentine's Day fic about our favorite couple? It can be about anything you want, just make it happen near or during the day. Post links to the stories or post them here. Let the ficing begin!
Well, I'll start it. It's super short, but here ya go!
Title: The Kit
Rating: G
Warnings: Fluff to the Max
Word Count: 385

“Draco, what is this,” Ginny asked in a flat tone.
“It’s a professional Quidditch player’s servicing kit. It’s top of the line; it even has a wood desplinterer.” He placed the large box on the couch between them and opened it. Inside, various jars and objects glittered in the light of the study. “You can even—
“I don’t play Quidditch,” she interrupted. “I work as a teacher. Not even as the flying instructor, as the Care of Magical Creatures professor at Hogwarts. Tell me why I need this,” she finished dangerously.
He gulped and stammered, “You still fly! That Nimbus is need of some care and this is just the thing.” Draco relaxed at seeing the deep hue of red of his wife’s ears turn into a light pink. “Besides,” he cheerfully commented, “it’s the perfect thing for the both of us.”
Ginny’s jaw dropped and Draco knew he had said the wrong thing.
“You got this for yourself and then tried to pass it off as a gift!” Her high-pitched, accusing voice reminded Draco of Molly Weasley. He shook his head quickly.
“No, I just saw how we could both benefit. That’s what a Malfoy does. He looks at things from all angles and sees how best to use it so it fits his needs.” Despite his confident attitude, he began to formulate a plan for a speedy escape to Eric’s house. I could say that I need to confer with the captain for Saturday’s game, he reasoned. He could hide there until she had calmed down.
To his surprise, she chuckled and shook her head. “I should have known. Be sure to use this well against the Wasps. Knowing that my present helped the Falcons win will be a nice feeling. But,” she interjected at his gleeful look, “this is joint ownership. I get it when I ask for it, no questions and no complaints. Understood?”
“Hard to argue with a Malfoy. A married into the family Malfoy, but you always had the spirit of one.”
Ginny leaned over the kit and kissed him soundly. When both of them were oxygen-deprived, she pulled away. He couldn’t keep the smug look off his face. “Oh shut it,” she growled playfully.
Draco only answered with a grin, “Happy Valentine’s Day, Ginny.”

Hehe. I loved Ginny's line. "I work as a teacher. Not even as a flying instructor..." I can just see her with her eyebrow raised at that.

Only found one minor mistake. The "tome" is supposed to be "tone". Just pointing it out.
