That was pretty easy for me to decide! Hermione! I think Harry's a bit... daft sometimes when it comes to acting first. He's just a moment too slow when it comes to Hermione.

Can't you just see her going, "Oh Harry, just bloody kiss me already, I know you want to!"

I second that motion, Hermione would probably be the first one to have a go with telling the feelings as Harry has a tendancy to be a bit of a dip sh*t when it comes to his feelings.

I think the narrative will show Harry as going "ooo I like her", but Hermione being the first one to voice the feelings.

I voted for Harry, because although he is dense, Hermione is shy. I mean I know Hermione is a bit of a know-it-all when it comes to school, but I couldn't picture her confessing to Harry about her deep affection for Harry. She's probably the first one to realize her love for Harry, but Harry is probably going to be the first one to confess...just my thoughts.

Hermione!! Harry will be too clueless on what to do about it.

I voted for Hermione, because she's usually a bit more tuned-in to that kind of thing! Can't wait until it actually does happen...

I really don't know, but I can't imagine Hermione telling Harry taht she loves him...Unless she's sure he feels the same for her...

I say it'll be Hermione. She's supposed to be the one knowledgeable about emotional issues and stuff, and her background of having a family of her own places her in a position of being more open to feelings than Harry.

I can't decide. But if I have to go with something I'd chose the vocal confession to be Hermione. Then once Harry knows he'll take action (ie. kiss).

Oops, I forgot to add something *grins sheepishly* If you notice, Harry asked Cho out on that Valentine's date only after she started giving him hints. She was nudging him into it. He didn't understand at first, but finally cottened on. If they even have a confession, most likely it'll be Hermione.

This was hard for me to decide. I think both Harry and Hermione would be hesitant to admit their feelings to one another. I mean, Harry grew up without love, or anything even close, so I think it would take him a while to realize his feelings in the first place. I also think he would take a while to admit his feelings because the fear of rejection, although not so much as wanting to protect Hermione by keeping it all a secret.

As for Hermione, I think she'd be hesitant mostly because the fear of rejection. As most of us all know, Hermione doesn't have to much self confidence. (Or at least that's what I think...) In my opinion, she probably wouldn't want to cause Harry more trouble by telling him her feelings. (Even though it wouldn't be trouble.)

Anyway... I voted for Hermione because I think she would realize how she feels for our dear Harry before Harry realizes how he feels for our dear Hermione. (That was a mouthful...) Well, let's just hope they do, in fact, one day admit more-than-friendly feelings.

I voted Harry, only because I can't see Hermione telling all. I think she is in love with him now, but because of issues (Cho) she won't say anything. I also think she is too insecure to admit she loves him, because she is considered the 'plain jane' of the school and Harry is after all on the Quidditch team and is the 'boy who lived'. Now I'm not saying that she thinks he wouldn't consider her good enough for her, it would be more like what everyone else thinks (which can be a powerful turn off). Plus he's had a crush on Cho, who is very pretty and Hermione may feel he doesn't think she's as attractive as Cho (even after his 'I don't think you're ugly' scene). As I said before, Hermione always gave me the impression that she was a very lonely person before coming to Hogwarts and like Harry didn't have any friends. So it will be hard for her, probably more harder than it is for Harry.

That's kind of hard to say... I think Hermione already knows her feelings for Harry whereas Harry is completely clueless, so I voted for Hermione. I have a feeling it might be tied into the plot in the final battle against Voldemort...

I'll go with Hermione. Harry will just be realizing his feelings and Hermione will jump up and kiss him. I know she's supposed to be kinda shy, but she's still a brave girl and she'll take the matters in her hands when she sees Harry's too dense!

I voted for Hermione confession-wise , but I really am not sure about a confession, I was thinking of one of them saying it indirectly, which I bet would be Harry.

Hermione likes to talk about things. She likes to discuss problems and find solutions, and she shows this in book five. She wants to talk about ******'s death despite Harry's obvious reluctance. She'll eventually have to come to terms with her feelings for Harry, and after that, it might ruin their friendship if she just tries to ignore it. It'll be a problem, and she'll handle it by talking with him. Harry, on the other hand, would likely keep his feelings to himself. However, if the situation presented himself, he probably wouldn't know what to say. Harry does better than he says, in my opinion, but a kiss would be rather satisfactory.

Hermione has my vote.

I'm with Facade and Albert on this one. It's a little hard to tell on this whole subject with Hermione's tendencys to be alll touchy feelie she will most likely be the one to say the words, but you never know harry might just figure that put on his own not that it's likly but it could happen.

AARGH! I can't decide... But I think it'll be Hermione. She'll say it, he won't believe it, they'll have a teensy fight and then they'll. *looks dreamily out of window*

I also say Hermione. Harry is sometimes closed off when it comes to his feelings. Hermione is very emotional, and there's also the fact that she has no problem speaking her mind. I still think she'd be hesitant to admit her feelings for Harry, because of the strain it might put on their friendship, but in a desperate situation, I can definitely see her doing it, and not Harry at all. It was Cho who first admitted she really liked Harry, and he didn't think to ask her to Hogsmeade until she jumped to conclusions. He's too clueless when it comes to girls, worse than Ron -- or not.

Hermione because her life at home has been happier than Harry's and she won't be as scared to confess her love for him.

That was difficult, but I voted Hermione in the end. She's a smart girl and I think she'll pick up on the usual signs, and be like: "Huh, I like Harry? Oh well, it was bound to happen in the end."

This is a hard question. Part of me thinks that Hermione is the obvious choice, but there's a part of me that believes that she is waiting for Harry to come around and realise it for himself. I don't think she wants to push him on this because she believes he has enough on his plate. So in the meantime she will support him as best she can.

For the record I voted for Harry. I see him trying to confess in a bumbling sort of way (a-la 'wannagoballwime?') and Hermione just says 'I know Harry, me too'. Thats the sappiness in me coming out I'm afraid.

Ack, just a question about the poll, are you asking who will admit their feelings first to each other or to themselves? My previous post was answering who'd admit it to the other first.

As for the other possible question, I think Hermione has already admitted it to herself. But Harry hasn't realised there is anything to admit to yet. (The Dolt!)

I think this would be the true test of courage for him. To confess your feelings to the girl you love. This would be a lot scarier than facing Voldemort. Go Harry Go! Hehehe.

I know Hermione seems like the more vocal one between the two, but I've noticed that Hermione talks about school stuff and gives very thorough and dead-on explanations about people's feelings, but never exactly her own feelings. Not to Harry or Ron at least. Maybe she'd sort of confess how she feels about Harry to Hagrid. (Which would be something he and Harry also have in common, the loyalty and bond that they share with Hagrid, because Ron never did really seem to care that much about Hagrid, but... ugh, yeah... totally off topic...)

As for Harry, I know he can be a total daft sometimes and he needs a lot of prodding, (I sure hope Ron would not use this to get Harry to date Ginny!) but when it comes to expressing feelings out loud, Harry had done it more than Hermione. And usually it's the typical outburst of emotions that he had been long trying to supress. I'd imagine that if he does realize his feelings for Hermione, he's going to supress it and keep it to himself for the longest time possible.

Hermione seems to be the more vocal of the two which all have already pointed out and has most likely already come to the realization that she has more-then-friendly feelings toward Harry. I can either picture her just going into this explanation and then finally at the end telling Harry or trying many times to tell him and then finally blurting it out in frustration.

If Harry were to confess first then...I dont know how he would go about doing it. The only way I see is in the final battle between him and Voldemort...

I voted for Hermione, but deep down inside (my gut feelings) I really wanted to click for Harry. For some reason, I can picture him admitting his feelings to her way before she'll do it to him.

Hermione may not say anything because she doesn't know how he feels for her and he has too many problems, so why add on the fact that his best girlfriend has feelings for him which he may not return, making their friendship an awkward situation.

Harry, on the other hand, being a totally impatient and head first type of person, won't be able to hold his feelings in and tell Hermione. But that's just my little theory.

Dunno...I voted Hermione because she's realized it herself, but I really don't know. How about this idea? Harry realizes that he likes Hermione during the course of Book 7? Then, she gets attacked (maybe by Dolohov or someone) and he thinks that she's dying. Then he can tell her, "I love you," and then I dunno, something good happens. Lol, that was crazy...I'm stupid...

Well, I voted for Hermione, but I'm beginning to think that maybe I was wrong.
I suppose what triggered this little change of mind was what someone said about Hagrid. Something tells me that Hermione confides a lot in Hagrid. I think he was her only friend during that time in POA when Ron and Harry weren't talking to her. Hagrid can be very careless about giving out information but he's also very tactful when it comes to people's feelings. Somehow I think it might be Hagrid that tells Harry about Hermione's feelings. Perhaps when Harry's confused about something or he has had a fight with her. You're right, you people who said although Hermione is more vocal Harry is more open with emotions. I liked the idea that maybe it will just come out in a tirade. "Harry, why are you doing this?" "Because I love you!!/Care about you/whatever"

I voted for Hermione. Why? Um... I think Harry is too dense to figure out his feelings for her or I think Harry won't tell her because he'll probably be too afraid to lose her as a friend or he might be afraid that Voldemort might hurt her because it seems that Voldemort hurts all the people we cares about. And if he has feeling for Hermione then.... Who knows what could happen.

I have a theory. I've heard that hermione is going to be injured in one of the upcomming books, so Harry will be visiting her, and she will confess everything!!! Harry (I`m afraid doesn't feel the same way yet

But (This comes from personal expirience) he will just realise how much he needs her and of course loves loves her. We'll have to wait.

Hermione would be the one to do it. Regardless of whether you support a R/Hr ship or not (and I don't), you can't deny that Ron obviously likes Hermione. Even if Harry is perceptive enough to realize the feelings between himself and Hermione, he'll hush up, because a) he won't want to hurt Ron, regardless of what he feels, and he'll be worried about what it will do to his and Hermione's friendship.

Hermione is always more perceptive than Harry, so when she finds that the feelings are reciprocated, she'll probably sit down and discuss it with Ron first, defusing that, and then go and reveal it all to Harry.

The only way that Harry would be likely to admit it is if he got in a shouting match with Ron (not totally unprecedented), and blurted it out. Something like:

Ron: "You and Hermione left me out of [secret plan]? Why do you spend more time with HER than ME? I thought we were friends!"
Harry: "We are friends, you prat! I'm just not in LOVE with you... uh.. I mean.."

Something like that. I realize my dialogue leaves something to be desired, but then, I'm not a published author, now, am I?

I voted for Hermione Why? Well, I get this idea of Hermione being assertive (especially in GOF and OOTP, in my opinion), and while she's outspoken *cough*S.P.E.W.*cough* I think that she'll admit her feelings first - either to herself or Harry, or both [at the same time . . .?], I don't know. And obviously Harry's dense/shy when it comes to girls (the Hogsmeade date and the aftermath, the Yule Ball), and will, once he realizes exactly what he feels for Hermione, keep it to himself - for the various reasons stated in the previous posts
*shakes head* I've probably confused people more than I've confused myself Ha. Anyway, that's my 2 cents

Hermione because Harry does not like her yet. She is always the one hugging him first, and she was the one that kissed HIM.
