I've always envisioned them flying around the Hogwarts grounds at night during a full moon on Buckbeak. Think about it. POA had a full moon (Lupin had to turn into a werewolf) and they flew on a hippogriff (greek symbol of love) I think JK was trying to tell us (or the smart fans at least) something. Why shouldn't their first kiss happen on Buckbeak? After all, history repeats itself...

You know what Harry’s like with words…and kisses. It wont be that romantic I don’t think. I reckon it’ll come as just a surprise to Harry as it does us!



Ideally:

I’d like them to have a heart-to-heart about the upcoming battle then a surprise kiss which ends with Hermione quickly apologising and running off. Then Harry thinking about it a lot throughout the next couple of chapters. But I think if it’s a surprise first kiss, then no butterfly’s in stomachs or stuttering just…a kiss and Harry smiling every time he thinks about it =)
Harry and Hermione don’t talk about it (they don’t have time) until during the battle they’re split up and meet again after running from Death Eaters. As they see each other, they say they’re sorry, then have a quick more passionate kiss, then are found by Death Eaters and have to escape hand-in-hand.

It will end up with Harry facing Voldermort alone, but that thought of Hermione will be enough.
I’d like it to end with Harry surviving. But nothing said between him and her. Just Hermione finding him, the two of them “connecting” with their eyes and looks of relief that the other is safe (obviously this will be told to us from Harry‘s POV. Something along the lines of: “He knew he didn‘t need to say anything. He could see it in her eyes. It was over and they were safe”).

Final shot I’d like for them to be holding hands/holding each other/Hermione kneeling by Harry’s side and the two of them looking out onto the “battle field”.
If any main characters other than Harry/Hermione die then I don’t think JK should mention it after Voldermort is defeated. It can be just left. So the readers can think and imagine how Harry (or another character) must be feeling!


But I personally have a bad feeling that Harry and/or Hermione are going to die (because of JKR’s use of words in that Jonathan Ross interview last week)…but that isn’t for this thread.

That's how I imagine their first kiss: Harry has just come back from his final fight with Voldemort. It happems at Hogwarts, like in the book. The fight between DA, order members and Death Eaters was still going on when Harry went to face Voldemort. Harry killed Voldemort of course.
He's exhausted and in pain, but he has only one thought: Hermione! He leaves to search for her. The fight is nearly over, there are only a few DA and order members still fighting and they've got everything under control. Students and teachers are lying on the floor, some are injured, some dead. Harry is aghast to see his friends like that, but he can't concentrate on them. He has to find Hermione.
When he finally finds her, the fight in the room where she stands is just over. She looks around, trying to progress the situation and decide where she can help. That's the moment when the door opens and Harry comes in. Their eyes meet and for a moment they just stand there looking at each other. That's the moment they realized that they're live would have been over if they lost the other one. Hermione runs to Harry and pulls him in a firm hug. They stay there, just holding each other for what seems like an eternity. When they finally seperate far enough to look into each others eyes, Harry kisses her. He doesn't think about it or consciously decides to kiss her, he just does it. It's not like any other kiss either of them has ever experienced. There is no awkwardness. It's a kiss so full of relief, love and passion that no words are needed after they pull apart, what is good, because they both haven't enough breath left to speak at the moment.

Ok I'm a total sap for this but I imagine it after the final battle, Hermione totally fed up and beyond relieved that Harry is alive, she runs full speed all bloody into his arms, and BAM! kisses him and everyone is shell shocked but then they start clapping, and they blush. And I am so sappy. Jeez.

I also like the one they're like in the battlefield nearly dead *but they won't die just gravely injured* and Harry makes it to Hermione like inches up to her and softly kisses her lips and they collapse in each other's arms.

And due to DH I imagine a Goddric's Hollow kiss too

Aww thank you! It's just that kiss has always forever been in my mind since I started shipping H/Hr it's always been that I don't know why, I guess a combo of my imagination and fanfiction's!

I don't remember when I wrote this, but I once had this one shot, of how Harry and Hermione in the heat of battle kiss for the first time. It was like a moment, one second that suspends the rest of the world for Harry to realize that if he dies, that is something he just cannot let go!

It's not pretty or cute. It's emotionally so intense, that's almost disturbing. But both Harry and Hermione are the kind of people who react to intensity without a doubt

That's the one coming to mind now... although I do believe I've written a couple more, I must say that's a favorite!
