Sorry britmizit, i'm the youngest. I believe so. I'm 6 days older than emma watson which means my birthday is april 9th, 1990. i'm thirteen. But that's okay, we can be the youngest together!

well , i am 22 years old.
in univversity to become a teacher for 6 to 9 years old.
the kids are usualy 12 to 16 years old.
donīt know how your school system works so.
but thatīs the magic of JKR, she writes in a way that, works on anyone at all ages.
the funny thing that i was reading the first HP book for mine niece(lovely girl), she only wanted her uncle(me) to read the hp books to her last summer.
besides that i captured mine interest in the HP books, it also captured her intereset in reading too more then hp books.
and we could all see the characters develop in a way that is "realistic" too, not the "perfect", adn we "older" maybe we can see some things that the younger readers hasenīt expiereced yet, while we older have been in similar situations like in the hp book and see "deeper" feelings.
great books they are.

Wow! I had no idea there was such a broad range of ages on this site! I think that it's amazing that Harry Potter appeals to so many people, no matter what the age.
I'm 13 by the way. Going on 14 on October the 24th. (Yes, I'm an ickle H/Hr shipper!) And, everyone tells me I'm mature for my age... but I don't think I'm
that mature, some times I scare myself at how childish I act. Well, anyway... I hope people keep posting their age! It's fun to see how old (or should I say young?) people are.

Librans huh? I'll turn 20 on October1st. And I tell ya, I was visiting Asia during the OotP release and wow! it wasn't like in England at all; the queue of ppl was short compared back home (i was watching BBC). I was like, 'that's mad...' my Asian cousin got offended but went back to England with me anyway.
R/H ers are quite young...i don't see a lot of R/H smut.

Harry Potter has brought me and my son (15) closer together. We discuss Harry Potter every day. We have both read all five books and we question one another about small points. He has achieved several excellent grades on oral book reports on the Harry Potter books he has read. His grades are improving because he has found out that he likes to read. The Harry Potter books have been beneficial to our family more than JK Rowling will ever know.

I've noticed the age pattern as well, and posted about it

But I'm 15, almost 16 (can't wait...sweet 16...getting off the subject yet again :-P) and most of H/Hr shippers tend to be a little older than my peers

Frankly, sometimes, it's more interesting and certainly more educational to talk to older fans, they seem to catch on to symbolism a lot quicker

Maybe it means that H/Hr shippers will be satisfied in the end?

I hope so!

NOO! I wanted to be the youngest!
Not that it matters, of course, coz I still look old for my age. On the same day I had one person ask me if I would be a senior in HS next year, and another ask what college I was going to this fall. And I say I'm 13 and they get embarrassed they ever asked. And I'm only 5'2"...It's not like I'm 5'10" or something. It's very funny actually.
I like the diversity of the good ol' ship. It's more fun!

I surpassed my mom when I was 14, is that bad? *shrugs* I'm 5'7, I believe. And my mom is about 5'2 *lol* I'm the tallest girl in the family. Pretty odd considering the fact that both of my parents happen to be shorter than me as well as my grandparents

Yes I realise that I'm a tall, hyperactive girl... lady... woman...! My mum is 6'0 so I probably passed her height when I was 14, I was always the tallest one in the class in Primary school, and early high school... My sister is now 5'10 and she's only 10, and I think she might be taller than me
My brother is 6'3 and my dad is 6'2
Not that anyone cares!

Nobody is too old for HP! I was coaxed into it by my Great Aunt, who is in her 40's because she loves them too. That's what's great about Harry Potter, it's great for all ages!

13 year old here!!

I'm happy to see that the HMS Pumpkin Pie lets all ages in! That's terrific!! And I agree that JKR does have the magic in her books to have all ages love them! Heck, my grandma reads the Harry Potter series!

Just goes to show you how loveable the characters are and how great the books are as well! It's wonderful to see people of all ages enjoying a book like Harry Potter!!!

Whoever said that HP is just for kids, doesn't have an imagination! Half of my friends love HP, some arn't interested because they don't read, but find it interesting and love the movies (not love love but enjoy them enough).
My mum who is 45 loves, loves, LOVES HP! As soon as I've read the books, she gets straight into them. I tell her all the latest interesting news on HP and she enjoys discussing about it with me. We don't talk about it all the time, but only when something interesting has happened.

Ahh yes... my very first REAL book. I was a bit of a lazy arse when I was about 11, and I hated books... I hated the thought of books, I hated everything about books...
It was when my Mum said, "Jess, you really gotta get off your lazy arse and do something about that brain of yours... stop looking at that friggen T.V and start reading a book damnit!" that kind of got me inspired to read a book.
I hated dissapointing my mother, so I went to the libaray to have a look around. I never found any of the books interesting there and I never got passed the 20th page, but I always had a desire for fantasy. So, before the christmas of '97' I asked my mum if she could get a me a book, something to do with fantasy. And guess what I got? Thats right! I got Harry Potter and the Philosepher's Stone.
I guess you could say that that book saved my life. I lived a pretty miserable life, and I always thought that I had no talent for anything. It was an escape from reality... it helped me.
J.K Rowling inspired me to write and read. I guess you could say it was kind of like an adventure. With all the new interesting stories I read and wrote. I've won several awards in the writing competitions, not that my stories are any good or anything, but I enjoy writing them. JKR is kind of like a hero to me, a brilliant woman with an amazing imagination! And I have a been a big fan of Harry Potter ever since...
I know this all sounds pretty corny, but well, I just had to express my love for the books...
