I don't know about a lot of other people, but i only pair hermione with harry if ron is dead. it's probably sacreligious to say this on this site, but i'd rather hermione end up with viktor before she ended up with harry or ron. something irks me about those couples...maybe it's because they're all best friends...

In the past, I have been a die hard R/H shipper....however I will also admit to enjoying some of the H/H fiction as well. On the whole, though, I am defintely a R/H shipper, it just seems that there is more raw chemistry between them. Harry seems more like a brother figure. I have to say though, that I find you can often tell in the D/G fiction who the author prefers...as Ron is either portrayed as a sweet, somewhat clumsy but always protective older brother or as a gruff, overbearing oaf . I prefer the former, even if the author is a H/Her.

Well, I have a few opinions on the matter. I agree with Penthesilia, I don't ever even search for Hr/H, R/Hr, or anything, because frankly I just find those fics rather boring. You never really see anything new because all the books are about Ron, Harry, and Hermione anyway.

When reading fanfiction, [d/g fics/ which is all I read] I usually see R/Hr...and I have always liked that...but now I'm getting rather bored with it, and after reading the famous Draco Trilogy, Ive decided I like Ron better with no steady girlfriend, he's funnier that way.

And I've never like H/Hr, it's just too perfect and cute. Leave the trio single, or give them other boyfriends and girlfriends, thats my opinion.

By the way, palepinkrose, I had to go through the momentary D/Hr thing too to see the D/G is sooo much better.

I like to read a lot of Draco/Ginny fics, but I support Pumpkin Pie, I think that Ron is a little too strange to be with Hermione, and he needs someone equally strange in a relationship, just to keep things interesting!

Heheh.. Interesting poll we have here! I've always wanted to read some of the other people's opinions about who should get together. Erm... I definitely support H/Hr but H/R don't bother me much either! *smiles*

I see a more obvious line between H/Hr tho... for some bizarre reason. I think I was influenced by the kiss at the cheek at Book 4 and the hug in CoS (the movie). Reading through book 5, Ron and Hermione have been away with each other quite often and they both have something new in interest.. being applied with positions in the school. *smiles*

So.. As an author, I go H/Hr and hardly H/R but it is all good!

I'm an Hermione/Harry shipper. I prefer when Ron is with someone else.

For some reason I have an aversion to R/Hr and can't read it if it's more than one or two off-hand remarks. I really do like Hermione, though, so maybe my subconcious thinks Ron's not intelligent enough. I like Ron when he's well written, but when he gets jealous, loses intelligence and acts as nothing more than a side-kick I tend to despise him. So I like H/Hr better.

I ship H/Hr since I started reading the books.... anyway.... I also like D/G in fanon because it's a very complicated pairing..... I even wrote a fic and added D?G when I write H/Hr fics.... I just dont like Hermione with Ron... they're too different and their runting at at each other is just unnerving.... Book five just made me more of an H/Hr shipper.... I wonder if after getting blasted by a Flying Boogie Hex would Draco start seeing Ginny in different light?

[COLOR=blue] I totally agree with who ever said something about how JKR keeps on foreshadowing hermione and ron . . . . and I've said this from the very beginning. They call all their fighting 'lover's quarrels' or in this case 'soon to be lover's quarrels'.

Whenever I read Harry and Hermione fanfiction, I always feel that it just doesn't have that spark. And I don't like Luna with Ron. Whoever thought of that idea was an idiot. No offense. Really. But Ron goes with Hermione. The End. No ifs, ands, or buts.

Harry will find someone else . . . I have a feeling he's just too close with Hermione to love her. In a non friendship way. Plus JKR always likes to twist and trick us. So Hermione goes with Ron.

And to piggy and jimmy forever person . . . . before you insult someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you insult them, you're a mile away, and you have their shoes.

Meh! I resent that Ron/Luna comment. I personally love the idea of that ship, though I dont ship it. I love Luna's character, and her mellow differentness matched with Ron's temper seems so cute. Though I personally believe it will be R/Hr in canon, I dont mind Herm with either Ron of Harry. The trio really confuses me when it comes to this aspect, though I think I've said that mre than once already here.

I agree with you Ryoko. The whole trio thing is kind of confusing to me. I see them as all friends, not dateable friends and whatever. But, as I said before, if I did ship either H/Hr or R/Hr I would go with R/Hr....

I like R/Luna too.... so now I'm all confused... lol

I can read both and I'm a D/G shipper.

I do have one arguement since alot of the R/Hr's have refrenenced a scene that happened in the movie and not in the book. Though there are parts in the book that suggest R/Hr I don't see it as them having a 'spark'. One thing some seem to be forgetting is that Harry has been very subdued until OoTp. While Ron is always very vocal. I also think Ron and Hermione's relationship is too obvious though it'll probably happen in the books and I wouldn't really mind. To me though Ron and Hermione fics altleast a thrid of the one's I've read are about them having this perfect relationship that has a few of the fights. Sometimes it happens with Harry and Hermione fics too, but as for either ship being better I think that's a bunch of bull. As characters I like Ron and Harry equally they are my favorite characters.

So for me if it goes either of those ways in the books I won't mind, though I do get the idea of them dating each other probably shouldn't happen.

As for Harry not Hermione I think he does and not as a girlfriend, but the plain fact that when Harry is left alone too long he receeds into himself and Hermione helps (and so does Ron) him out of it. Basically one of the reasons I can get the idea of H/Hr (though once again I like Hr/R too!) is that I don't think anyone else that's female to say the least could pull Harry out, and I don't think he should (or even Ron for that matter) be alone if Ron and Hermione date. So I guess my point is that it'll be healthier for their friendships not to go that way, but I wouldn't mind it if it went either way.

Oh and on the whole 'spark' comment. I think it's more of a repore and the way they communicate.

Pacey and Joey had a spark (please don't make fun!). Not even a spark a fire that was obvious since S1, but R/Hr have more of a different kind of chemistry than Harry and Hermione.

It's nice to know that even if my shipping aspirations might not succeed I can have a future career in comedy.

On this site most people are going to say H/Hr, of course but I've read plently D/G fics with R/Hr, too. Personally I no longer know who I want to ship any of the trio with. The addition of Luna and reading too many fanfics has confused my brain about who they should be with.

You may have heard this a billion and one times, but I'm more of a R/Hr person, don't get me wrong I love reading anything with either one of them as her lover. Apart from the fact I think she's still hung up on Vicktor Krum...
Ron loves her let's leave it at that! Why else would he be obsessed with her like all the time?
I'm not sure actually that Hermione can be bothered with boys though until she leaves Hogwarts, "Mustn't put anything before studies!" But...you never know! I don't think she'll end up with Harry though. She admires him but in a toally different way. I think he's just her best friend, and everyone knows it's a bad idea to go out with your best boy friend.
But Ron and Hermione, the constant arguing and the bickering, they've definately got a thing for one another, whether it will evolve into anything major is beyond me!
Let's just keep D/G-ing and forget about it!
