They'll have 7 kids born with glasses and SCARS smile.gif

I agree with the 7 kids but the scars ... that's going overboard. I've been working on several fics revolving around very well developed families for H/Hr and R/L. (None of these have surfaced on Portkey yet - time is a luxury I don't have. It's mostly character sketches that I scribbled down when I should be taking notes in class. whistling.gif ) My vote is definitely a boy first for Harry and Hermione because they just seem the type that would - although it could be me since I'm the oldest of 4 girls and 2 boys and there have been times when I wished I had a big brother. I've posted my names before but some changes have been made since then. Here's a rough sketch about each kid:

1. James Albus Potter - Named after his paternal grandfather and his parents' beloved Headmaster. Born on July 21, just 10 days before his dad's 20th birthday, he is the spit image of his namesake right down to the hazel eyes and glasses. Although he takes after his father, he still emulates his mother's love for learning and takes his responsibilities as the eldest seriously. He eventually follows his father's original ambition and becomes an Auror. (Harry's just too good a teacher not to have at Hogwarts.)

2. Sarah Minerva Potter - Named after her maternal grandmother and her mother's heroine, the current Headmistress. She in born 18 months after her brother on December 13 and looks very much like her mother with curly hair that is almost black and bright green eyes. She is definitely her mother's daughter, emulating her knack for Transfiguration and love for reading. Her greatest ambition is to become a writer.

3. Lily Eviana Potter - Named after her paternal grandmother, she is considered a living miracle by her parents. She's born dangerously premature six years after her sister on February 7. She continues to suffer side-effects from the early birth, including a vision disorder with her eyes' focusing being pretty unstable. Regardless of these problems she truly lives up to her name because her identical likeness to her grandmother and her quiet strength. She and her brother James have a particularly special bond.

4. Edmund Remus Potter - Named after his maternal grandfather and the last living Marauder, he's born on November 10 the next year. Originally, Harry wanted to name him after his late godfather while Hermione wanted to name him after her father. The argument went on through the entire pregnancy until he's born with a tuft of curly brown hair that made him look so much like his Grandpa Granger, Harry surrenders. Although he looks more like his mother with green eyes and glasses, he takes after his paternal grandfather and makes his parents believe Sirius would have been a name better suited for him. He loves Care of Magical Creatures and thinks his "Uncle" Ron's brother Charlie has the best job in the world.

5. Sirius Ronald Potter - Named after his father's late godfather and his own godfather. He's born two years after his brother Edmund on May 14 and has his father's untidy black hair with his mother's brown eyes. Although quite the athlete as a superb Chaser, he is his mother's son with a slightly adventurous streak. His favorite subject is Arithmancy and he plans to become a Cursebreaker.

6. David Godric Potter - Named after his father's maternal grandfather and founder of his parents' house. He surprises his parents in the early hours of Halloween five years after Sirius was born. He has straight, untidy brown hair and brown eye, making him look the most like his mother. He has his father's attitude about school and Quidditch and inherited his paternal grandmother's knack for Potions. He later becomes a Healer.

7. Elizabeth Ganieda Potter - Named after her father's maternal grandmother and Merlin's sister/Godric Gryffindor's wife. She is born six minutes after her twin brother David and bears the nickname "Lizzie". She has curly black hair and green eyes. She is definitely her father's daughter when it comes to Quidditch and her mother's when it comes to studying. Like her paternal grandmother, she has a gift for Charms.

Basically, I have H/Hr's kids grow up with R/L's kids and they are really close. offtopic.gif For R/L, I say a girl first. I don't know why, but Ron just seems to be the type of guy who would end up with several daughters. And knowing Luna, she'd give them names that are as strange as she can get away with. (Celestina Amaris, Aurora Rhiannon, Lavena Serenity, Electra Destiny, and Daniel Apollo were names that I chose.) So ... (back on topic), yeah, that's my opinion on this poll.

Until the next time I come out of lurkdom,

Totally agree with you on R/L kids.

i want their kids to be a boy and a girl...a la skandar keynes (edmund in narnia) and georgie henley (lucy in narnia)
hexonjellybeans12
I've always imagined them to have a little boy first...but then again, my biases are based off my fanfiction tongue.gif
Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
I have a feeling there'll be about 50 of each, with every hair/eye combp imaginable.

I think that their first child will be a boy and then twin girls and then another girl and then a boy... 5 children!

50?! Is that physically possible? tongue.gif That would be awesome, though (though I think any child between H/hr would have all of us squeeing ourselves off our chairs and down the hall!)
Arm_Wild
They should have twin boys who turn out like Fred and George but with all the unique goodies that come from having Harry and Hermione as parents! That would rock! And they can be buddies with "uncles" Fred and George...

PLUS they can get involved in more serious adventures at Hogwarts like their parents did in their school days.

I've always thought Fred and George themselves should be more involved in the serious aspects of the HP plot beyond being great comic relief anyways... oh crud I'm ranting off topic...

Yeah, I'm off topic too, but Fred and George are like my FAVORITE characters... next to Luna, of course.

I've never met any children that resemble H/Hr children, thats why I was just wondering if anyone from PK knows or has seen any children that made you think thats what H/Hr children might look like.

The reason I ask is because I know a family whos children remind me freakishly of what R/Hr children would look like (and I am sorry to say they are all very cute.)
xCarpeDiem
Can't remember if I've posted here. Too lazy to check.

Anyway...

...I've always seen them with two or three children. Definitely at least one boy and one girl. As for the third, not sure which gender he/she would be.

As far as looks go, I see the girl with Hermione's hair and Harry's eyes. I think that'd be cute.

I see the boy with Harry's unruly black hair and Hermione's brown eyes. I also think that'd be cute.

The third ... well, not sure about the third.

But I really do think their children would be incredibly adorable. Parents!Harry and Hermione is always good to think about. I think they'd make a great team for parenting. wub.gif

I picture their children the same way, lol.
Miss Mady
I think I've already posted, but I picture them having a boy first. A girl won't be bad either. biggrin.gif

Boy would have Hermione's hair color and Harry's messiness. Harry's lovely eyes too.

Miss Mady

I could see Black "bushy" hair with green eyes..IMO, that would be cute, especially on a girl

Also, Red is in Harry's genes..so it's possible that his red would mix in with Hermione's brown and there would be an Auburn haired baby with green eyes, that would be adorable as well.

Unless Hermione has the gene as well, no the child wouldn't have it. Red hair is recessive after all. And even if Hermione did have the gene (which she doesn't seem to from not having a pale complexion or freckles which usually gives hints that you have it as a recessive gene), there would only be a 25% chance of the kid being born with Red hair.

Also Lily is described as having Auburn hair, which usually does not carry on the one gene to children which can help produce little red heads. Studies apparently have shown that you need bright red hair for even the recessive gene to be carried on to your children.

ETA: Sorry, I misread, it's actually "strawberry blondes" not auburns, so ignore that last paragraph.

More info:

http://www.derm.med.ed.ac.uk/06_teaching/redhairgen.htm

http://www.thetech.org/genetics/ask.php?id=144

Also did you know that red heads are a dieing breed? Some even say by 2100 that Red heads will completely vanish from being present in society.

Also 4% of the people on the earth carry the gene, and out of that an even smaller number have red hair.

So if you have red hair, feel special.

I Always Thought That They Would Have A Girl! Even If Red Hair Isn't Prominent I Think That A Baby Girl With Curly Red Hair And Green Eyes Reminescent Of Lily Would Be So Cute! Her Name Would Be Lily-Grace! wub.gif Or A Baby Girl With Curly Black Hair And Green Eyes Named Rose Julianne! wub.gif
Down With Ginny!
I've always thought it would be a boy. Don't know why. Maybe I suffer from self-hatred or something. I've never pictured what it would look like either, but probably like a mini Harry with brown hair.

That would bring up some awkward questions, though, don't you think? Anyhoo, I always imagined them having a boy first, with Harry's hair and Hermione's eyes....very cute tongue.gif
ih8anvils
I always thought Harry would have a bunch of daughters and no sons. Well if that happens looks like the Potter name is dying.
Eric Draven
Boy.
Dunno why, probably because I finished re-reading Roald Dahl's - Danny the Champion of the World after my brother ended up reading it for the first time, I couldn't help it.

There's such a great father/ son relationship in that. That would definately be Harry and Son. The land they poach off could be the Malfoys'.

A girl would be cool too.
I never really pictured them living to have a big bunch of kids - that'd be an alright happy ending. Just one or two when they're in their early thirties. Have them teach them what is right, how to live and be happy. H/Hr both work, but still have time for their family.

Dunno what I think about another James/ Harry look-alike. A bit cliche?

It is cliche, but speaking genetically, most of the Potter men's traits are dominant tongue.gif So it would probably end up happening, as much as we wouldn't like it to.
luna_in_disguise
well I voted boy because thats what I'd imagen they first have, but i think they'd have a few of each smile.gif

Could someone tell me where you can list the names and personalities of the kids? they have them in the R/L and D/G forums, but I can't find it here.
strawberry_nerd
i'm thinking they would have a boy first
i just feel sorry for the kid because no matter what gender, there's no way any child of a Potter, much less a Potter and Granger, would have easy to work with hair
also whether boy or girl i think the first kid at least would have harry's eyes
harry and hermiones daughter
I dunno I thought Harry and Hermione would be a nice little even family, maybe two or three children. I say one girl and two boys, because only having one girl would make Harry protective over her, in the cute fatherly way, but not as over bearing as Ron would be. I think that if Harry had a daughter he would name it after a flower like his mother, but there really is no need to give her the exact name... or even a different name

Annabeth Lily Potter, with Harry's mum's name as the middle name its just as good, I think. Here's the name of the few name's for girls that I do like-

-Sapphire, though I'm not sure it'd be a good 'Potter' name.
-Selene, I think this one's pretty good for a Potter.
-Elizabeth, Like Elizabeth Jane Lily Potter (which is my favorite)
-Aystin, I dunno I just like this name, I have no idea how it would sound with Potter. Aystin Jane Potter

As for boys...hmm.....

-Nikolas James Potter
-Edward James Potter
-Thomas James Potter
-Aden Matthew James Potter

I dunno just my two cents. biggrin.gif

For ease, I'm gonna stick with one boy and one girl. I've always thought one of the kids should have one of Harry's parent's names as their first name and the other should have his other parent's name as a middle name, so that's what I'm gonna go with. smile.gif

Girl
Name - Lily Emma Potter (I chose Emma as it's a favourite girls name of mine)
Eye colour - Emerald green
Hair - Long, fine, wavy and jet black
Personality - A brave and very talented witch with a nose for trouble!

She'd be the oldest, then we'd have:

Boy
Name - Sirius James Potter
Eye colour - Hazel brown
Hair - Light brown, thick and very curly
Personality - Quiet and very clever with a love for books

As you can see I've made the daughter a mini!Harry and the son a mini!Hermione, as that's just always how I've pictured them. :sigh: biggrin.gif

I voted for 'Girl'.

I obviously think they should have more than one kid but I think the first should be a girl. She should have Harry's eyes and should look like Hermione tongue.gif

this is a cute thread. I'd definitely go with one girl and one boy. I think Harry and Hermione would be such great parents! thumbup.gif argh...oh well, there's always fanfiction! as for names, I think the whole Lily/James thing is a little tired and cliche. I liked the Annabeth suggestion somewhere earlier. I also like Katelyn Lily Potter or for a boy, Edward or Thomas (although maybe too many Tom Riddle connotations there).

I think they would have a girl with jet black curles wand emerald eyes thumbup.gif

Perfect.
that is adorable. Mini-Harry and Hermione... heart.gif

For me want for them to have "Twin" son and daughter so that way it they will equal. Just like their parent are..

name
Son: Daniel Watson Potter...(Yeh..bêeing Dan lover and Dan/Emma ship here) I always love that named "Daniel"
eyes color: Midnight Blue..(Just like Dad)
Hair: Black/Raven-Hair
Personality: Outspoken, Witty and intregrent/strong.

Name
daughter: Emma Radcliffe Potter..wink.gif
rest is same as son: well they are twin!
Candra
If I imagine Harry and Hermione with a kid, I see them having a girl. I can even see her in my mind. She's the perfect mixture of her parents: She has Harry's eyes and black hair, but Hermione's curls and her facial features.
She has Hermione's intelligence and her love for books and Harry's love for Quiddich. And of course she has all the great qualities her parents share: Their sense of justice, their loyality towards her friends, their compassion for the weaker ones and their courage.
I even have a middle name picked out for her: Jade, because of her eye colour. I don't have a first name, but it has to start with H, so she has the same initials as her parents. It should be something unique with a special meaning.

I'm totally nuts, I know. rolleyes.gif
Fire
I imagine them having a family of four kids. Two girls and two boys! I imagine them all being different ages. I don't know.

Girl #1:
- Hazel Eyes
- A shock of bright red hair cut pixie like
- Pale but beautiful skin like Harry's
- Adventorous, loves books, Does NOT play quidditch, very mischievous

Girl #2:
- Same eyes as her sister
- Long curly black hair
- tanned complexion
- Mischeivous, but really good in her studies but Harry kinda good

Boy #1
- Brown shock of hair
- Green eyes
- perfect mix of H/Hr

Boy #2
- Auburn hair
- Brown eyes

huh, hadn't really thought too much about names, though now that i am i'm even thinking up whole personalities

to expand on what i've previously said

two boys first, not necessarily twins but they could be, and, as i've said, they both have ridiculously messy hair since the combination of the potter messy hair gene and hermione's own bushy mess cannot lead to any children with easy to deal with hair

the first boy= Orion Horatio Potter, since Orion was Sirius's middle name and Horatio for Hermione's own connection to shakespearian plays, and because hortaio is my favorite character in my favorite tragedy and in the wizarding world you can totally get away with rather odd names and i'd hope that the child has harry's eyes but hazel would be good too, and i think he'd have black hair. Other traits- mother's brains, father's reflexes, grandma lily's bone structure, taller than his father, good at dueling, strong silent type with a strong sense of honor, can be very charming if he wants and he despises false friends, fantastic chaser, sorted into gryffindor or ravenclaw

the second boy- Jonathan Mercutio Potter because John is Remus's middle name and again comes the shakespearian connection. Once again the child is cursed with incredibly messy hair, probably brown black in color and either hazel or green eyes, total hufflepuff, fantastic with plants and animals- very patient, and absolute sweety but definately no pushover, can give his father a run for his money when it comes to dueling and is as book clever as his mother with his grandfather's james creativity in applying the knowledge

finally, the potter princess- Rose Ophelia Potter- rose for the flower connection of the evans family and ophelia becuase its a pretty name and for the shakespeare connection- very messy hair of course, that is somewhere between brown and black in color and she definately has her father's green eyes, and his need for glasses as well as his saving people thing and her mother's intelligence and both parents stubbornness and the now typical potter dislike of publicity and false friends, purposefully gets herself into Slytherin as an attempt to boost the Slytherin image towards a house of good instead of a house of all dark witches and wizards

possibly one more child, another boy and a surprise, potentially named Demetrius James Potter, becase someone needs James' name and again, shakespeare/literature connection for Hermione and he's an almost perfect gryffindor though he will think before he acts for the most part and he's the prankster of the family, but he's careful that no one is ever hurt by his pranks which are never malicious in nature

other names

for boys
Richard Castor Potter (no particular namesake)
Marcus William Potter (middle name is after Bill Weasley)
Brian Claudio Potter (brian is one of dumbledore's names)
George Lysander Potter
Alexander Othella Potter

for girls

Violet Desdemona Potter
Iris Sophia Potter
Rosalind Daisy Potter
Ivy Helena Potter
Fire
I absolutely adore these names for the girls they sound so pretty tongue.gif

I am tempted to make her middle name Kanadia, but that's a personal tribute of mine.

I was bored and made this and thought I would share it.
I made it on this funny site called makemebabies.com, very fun if your as bored as me.

H/H's daughter

However I'm sure their children would have been far more attractive.

I personally always pictured them with a family of 3-5 children all relatively close in age.
