Hermione J. Potter

Just a little question I was wondering after seeing
I Love the 80's and hearing them talk about
Return of the Jedi and whole Luke/Leia were siblings.
I think the only way I would ever abandon ship would be if...Harry and Hermione ended up being related

that would be weird. But J.K.R already told us that we've been watching too much
Star Wars
so I don't think that will happen.
Anyway I was just wondering...

I've moved this from HBP to Harry/Hermione.
I voted for I will never stop being a Harry/Hermione shipper no matter what.
I have a pretty simple reason for that; I fell in love with the Harry and Hermione relationship as I saw it and so I'll never leave my wonderful home onboard the HMS Pumpkin Pie. No matter what happens in the books I will still want Harry and Hermione to get together.
I'm begining to accept the idea that they may not be together but it doesn't deminish my love for them together.
Harry and Hermione always!

Never, ever, ever. I mean, if they are siblings, I guess that would stop me, because ... ew. But since that's HIGHLY unlikely, there is nothing that would make me change my mind. I fell in love with their friendship and what I feel has grown to be so much more.

I can't abandon true love!
Besides, there's so many great people here who don't ship "the dark side" so why would I go anywhere else?
And who voted for
I've always been a R/Hr and/or H/G shipper I'm just on this site to make all you Harmonian's feel bad! MUWHAHAHAHA!?????

I will never stop being a Harry/Hermione shipper no matter what. I second that emotion!
I love Harry and Hermione too much to ever think of abandoning them.
Who came up with the sibling theory in the first place? If it turns out to have been a Heron, well, I suppose he was just trying to sabotage our faith in our ship. The sibling theory won't happen...it's too Star Wars-like. It's too UNoriginal! Besides, think about it...Hermione was born in September and Harry was born the following year in July. Lily would not have had enough time to recover completely post partum from her first pregnancy. It's a stretch (no pun intended). James Potter could have had an affair with another woman resulting in baby Hermione. But, I doubt this too, since a lot of us, no matter what ships we favor, would agree that James loved Lily very much. So the sibling theory is a no go!
H/Hr forever!

I won't abandon the Harmony ship with the way things are going. But if we must add that possibility of them being siblings, then that would be the only reason for me to jump ship. Ugh . . . the possibility of them as siblings is just nauseating. George Lucas should sue if JK does that! If JKR is mad enough to go down that tired old route, then I would abandon ship because incest bugs me to the core.

There is nothing in heaven, earth, or hell that would ever make me abandon Harry/Hermione. JKR could personally come to my house and smack me over the head with an anvil screaming, "THEY ARE PLATONIC!! THEY WILL NEVER HAPPEN!! STOP WITH THE DELUSIONAL THEORIES ALREADY!!"
When I recover from my semi-comatose state (anvils are ###### heavy you know), I'll just shrug and go, "Well, hell, lady---that's what fanfictions are for!"
If, on the other hand, JKR goes by way of the sibling theory ala-Lucas, well, incest isn't so bad---the Ptolemies used to do it! But my respect for JKR, which has already sufferred a major hit with the HBP characterizations and post-HBP Harmonian gore-fest, will plummet into a bottomless pit never to be seen again. THEN, I'll tear out every single page in my HP books and dump them into the recycling bin (gotta save the rainforests).

There are things Rowling could write/say that would make me abandon Harry Potter entirely and thereby the H/HR ship, but there is NOTHING that could make me turn into an R/HR+H/G shipper. NOTHING. And nothing that would make me stop supporting H/HR and still continue to like and read the Harry Potter series and fanfictions. There are things that could disappoint or upset me (some already have), but I'm way too stubborn to jump ship.

I agree. I think that Harry would find out that Ginny is really his cousin... and Ron will fall in love with... Professer Trelawney... or Madam Pince... or maybe Dobby the house elf... Nah, the edge of a cliff, and he and Ginny fight over who loves the edge of the cliff more.

2. Legal ownership of Harry Potter (at which I would demand that H/Hr become a canon coupleand the person that dies in HBP to be broght back to life)

Beside, i don't think JKR will turn Harry and Hermione into siblings, if she does then she has been watching WAY too many star wars movies cause that is a complete rip off.

Beside, Hank and Lei relationship reminds me too much of Clark and Lois - Smallville and Superman(Clark and Lois) Version of relationship, their bickering is more of a sarcastic humour way to annoy the other. They just do it to wind the other up. Hermione and Ron's relationship is way too bitter and not nice, they don't do it to wind each other up, it just cheap shots to bash the other, to degrade them.
That's just IMO.

It will never happen. There would need to be foreshadowing involving Hermione's parents in the earlier books, and we haven't gotten that. We haven't even learned their names. Mind you, that little mistery needs solving, but I think that we should take Rowling's word at face value, and not compare Harry Potter too closely to Star Wars.

That's what I was just thinking...besides, since Hermione is older, wouldn't we have mention of her being with James and Lily? Wouldn't Voldemort have killed her too when came to their house? It doesn't make sense that they'd have her and give her away, because they kept Harry, and they loved him very much. So obviously she couldn't be both of theirs. And the likelihood of an affair is not very great. So, don't fear, I think we'll be spared the whole sibling-thing. If it does happen, then JKR will have lots of explaining to do to show how it could be possible!
Oh, and I said I'd never stop shipping Harry/Hermione, no matter what. You can hit me over the head with as many anvils as you like. I'll just agree to disagree. No matter what the books say, I will always think H/Hr have a better foundation for a lasting, fulfilling relationship.

I don't really think that Harry and Hermione are related guys. Even J.K.R wouldn't do that to us.
...I don't think.
I voted for never too, because if they did end up being related I would probably just ignore it and pretend it had never happened (denial is a great thing my friends

) like someone else mentioned.
Han/Leia? The personally remind me of Ron/Hermione and I never really thought they made that great of a couple. I don't know why I just didn't support them.
I didn't think they should be with anyone else, but I wasn't like all "awww" whenever there was a shippy scene or something.
When I saw the movies though I already knew about the whole brother/sister thing so I never really shipped Luke/Leia but if I hadn't known I probably would have until I found out about the sibling thing.
But that's probably my Delusional Harry/Hermione

I doubt they would end up like Luke and Leia. I mean, for one, JKR said, FOR SURE, that she wasn't going to go all Star Wars on us. And two, I just seriously doubt that idea.
Anyway, even if our ship does sink, which unfortunately looks like that's going to happen, I will never jump ship. And I'll stay a H/Hr shipper forever! NOTHING!! I tell you, absolutely NOTHING!!
I am a die-hard of almost anything I like (ie. Anime, most specifically Cardcaptor Sakura) and I NEVER give up on the ships and pairings I adore!
*nods* Even if some of my friends tells me that they will NEVER get together, all I say to them is, and I quote: "I still have hope and my imagination!"
Its so sad though. I mean, some authors in different fanfiction sites (basically FFN) gave up on the Harry.Hermione ship because it does not follow through the book. Its disappointing hearing an author blab about not continuing their story because it does not follow through the book and or they lost their interest in it and or they moved on a different ship (Ron.Hermione, Harry.Ginny)
Anyways, back to the topic! As I already said, NOTHING will make me change my mind about the Harry.Hermione ship! They're (in my opinion...and I think others too) the most adorable, cute, sweet, and most importantly LOVELY couple out there!
And on the added note: My second most favourite pairing is Draco.Ginny. I know it's very OOC...but who cares! I think they make a cute couple! Even if Harry.Hermione never get together I will never change my ship to Harry.Ginny and Ron.Hermione! =DEdited because of the 'Added Note'

Since I'm a relatively new comer to H/Hr world, I wouldn't ship them any more if they ended up being siblings.
Be realistic here people, they're wonderful together but if they end up being the same blood that will be incest and incest is just well...vomitrocous! And that will be the ultimate way to kill us because what would we come up with in the fanon world? Not only that, it will destroy my love for JK.
But that is IF H/Hr become siblings and I highly doubt. It's like 0.000000000009% possible. All in all, that will be the only thing that will make me abandon them.

I don't love H/Hr because it could happen in the books, I never have. I love H/Hr because of the chemistry and potential romance between the two characters.
While I'm on the subject, there are two types of shippers. Realists and Dreamers. The realists are most of the R/Hr and G/H crowd because they see that those pairings are "right" and what Rowling intended for her characters to do. However, we are the dreamers of dreams. We see the beautiful characters and manipulate them the way we see fit. While yes, we may be "delusional".. the crazy people hav all the fun anyway. Dreamers are responsible for most of the best ships out there. Wolfstar (R/S), Harmony (H/Hr), Leather Libraries (D/Hr), among many others.

I love HHr, always have, always will. It was the first movie that got me interested in HP (I formerly disliked it after reading CoS, the first HP book I read - now come to think of it, it was because Ginny was a damsel in distress), when I saw Hermione hugging Harry (yay!), and since then my friend Megha got me so obsessed with Harmony!
After I voted, this is how the poll stands:

Harry dies and Hermione is all alone and goes for the next best thing...RON! [ 0 ] [0.00%]
Hermione dies and Harry is left all alone and ends up with Ginny [ 0 ] [0.00%]
Whatdo you mean what will make me abandon ship? I already have! [ 2 ] [1.29%]

Never, (I got the mean NY accent when I say that) Harry and Hermione until the day I die. J.K.Rowling could say they are never going to happen, and I will say I dont care. I saw the clues pointing towards Ron and HErmione but I dont care. Its for Harry remembering Hermione being locked in the bathroom even when they were not friends. Its for there are more important things like friendship and bravery. Its for her getting petrified, its for caring enough about him to hand in his firebolt. For helping him save his godafather. For her knowing from the look on his face that he did not put his name in the goblet of fire. For being there the next day with toast. Its for the kiss on the cheek. The hug that nearly knocked him flat. For also catching malfoys double entendre with "dogging your doorstep". For going with him to grawp, and knowing him so well that she knew Voldermorts plans, but still going with him, because that was her friend. It was for the relief that made him light headed. In my eyes they are perfect, no matter what anyone says. I will NEVER abandon ship. Harry and Hermione forever.

Okay, so let's say that the worst thing to happen is H/Hr becoming siblings and you refuse to take that in and you guys will never leave Harmony because it's better, plausible, and realistic.
You say never, right? What will you do when you can't write any more fanfics since H/Hr are siblings? You say never, but how will you continue your pumpkin pie support if it's incest?

If, and thats a BIG *IF* J.K wrote it that way, i wouldn't stop being a H/Hr shipper, i would forget i ever liked HP, period. As much as i don't respect J.K as a person (after that dreaded interview), i still think she's a brilliant writer (not taking into account her lousy romance writting skills off course). She just can't do that Luke/Leia thing, then everyone would scream bloody STAR WARS!. I can just imagine the Rowling/Lucas comparisons. It's not that it's been overdone, it's that is was done in the most famous and beloved sci-fi saga of all times.
There are already fans of LoTR accusing her of ripping JRR Tolkien, what with the nasgyl, the willow, Gandalf/Dumbledore, etc... now imagine if she did really rip off such a famous twist.
I say this possibility is just too far off, so my answer is never!.

Erm...I'm not a Heron. LOL So if Ron and Hermione become siblings I'd jump for joy. More advantage on H/Hr!

Nothing would spot me from shipping H/Hr. C'mon - I'm a Leo, I'm far too stubborn to do that! If Harry or Hermione dies or they both die...well, all that has to happen is for said character tries to rescue dead character from Hades or Morgoth or whoever...ah, think of the possibilities!
Brother and sister? Pff, just send them back in time when it was perfectly acceptable! The rulers of Egypt sounds nice - the Pharoah's wife was always his sister, did you know that? Did you know that Zeus and whats-her-face were brother and sister? Did you know that Cain and Abel would've had to have children with their sisters? So to H/Hr being brother/sister, I say, "Gee, JKR, is that the best you've got? Is that your efforts to get rid of all H/Hr shippers?"

Oh

...well...um yay! Well then let's hope together that Ron and Hermione become long lost siblings before they start to go out!
