You know, now that I'm done with Book 5 I'm beginning to think that Emmyjean has the inner eye because Crossroads was so unwittingly right it might have been canon.

Okay, I wasn't really sure where to put this, so I thought maybe this thread would be a good place to start.

I appreciate all the people who've followed the recommendations here all the way to my site and Crossroads. Thanks so much for all the kind words...they mean alot. The main reason for my posting here now is because I want to let everyone know that I'm in the midst of posting a revamped version of Crossroads, and I hope you'll all come back over and read it again...it's being tweaked to fit with the canon given to us in OotP.

Don't worry...it's the same fic. It's just that some things needed to be altered and added. Some chapters will change a little bit, some not at all, and some will be completely different from the previous version, with new scenes and all. However, nearly all the important scenes from the older version will remain in the fic.

I think it's kind of icky of me to do this right as I'd finished the old one, and I was really conflicted about it...but I didn't just want to slap an AU on it and leave it at that. Alot of it was already in sync with canon, even after the fifth book, so I didn't have to do very much with the first part.

Hopefully you aren't all laughing (but I don't know if there even IS a precedent for this), and you'll come and check out the chapters that are already up and refurbished.

I am very picky about what stories I will read, especially dealing with Lily & James. I'm very, very picky. I don't know why, I just am. That said, I can say with utmost certainty that this is THE best Lily/James fic out there. Emmyjean makes it so believable. I find myself feeling everything Lily feels by the way Emmyjean is able to express and my heart strings were pulled many, many times while reading this fic.

I have much excitement that she is re-editing it to fit the Rowling timeline and I'm able to reread the story again almost with new eyes.

Maybe I'm picky because this is one of the first L/J fics I read. (this and Molly Moon's) therefore I have been spoiled. That all being said, if you have not read this fic and you are a fan of L/J then you are missing out greatly!! Go. Read. Be prepared to spend a few hours stuck in Emmyjean's world.
