Hehe! That would be good!

I'm going back over to America next September (Soooo, not soon enough! *Grumbles*) So I'm going to buy everysingle pie Wallmart has.
If you live in Florida, sorry, you won't have any pies for 2 weeks 'cause I'll have them all!

Ah, pumpkin pie...What can I say about it? Well, it has been my favorite type of pie since I was about as tall as a meter stick.

I used to eat some every Thanksgiving and Christmas, as was tradition around my family. Now...I eat some whenever I can get my hands on it. I ADORE PUMPKIN PIE!!!! And I feel very sorry for those who have never tried it.
Just hearing the words "pumpkin" and "pie" make me think of H/Hr.

It's like I see their entire friendship flash before my eyes. The last pumpkin pie my parents bought, I grabbed it and proclaimed, "No one shall touch this pie but me!!"
You know, I wonder if Harry and Hermione were to try a pumpkin pie, would they want some whipped cream. Whipped cream is pretty good too. Whoa, back up--bad thought in my head. Bad Jennifer, bad!
Actually, I love pumpkin pie so much that I suckered my grandmother into making one just for me for Thanksgiving.

When she told my mom that she got the ingredients for it the other night, I started screaming and yelling in French how much I love my grandma. She is a pretty cool grandmother.
In short, I love pumpkin pie and everything associated with it.

since the Pumpkinpie history thread is temporarily locked.. i might as well just post here.. i was wondering how this names came about.. i mean.. i've read of how Mad Eyed Mike made the Harmony name.. would it be like just stating it?? like since in OotP there're lots of harmony/pumpkinpie moments there.. would it be just like someone (for this instance, the someone is me

) saying:
"i have a new name for the h/hr ship!... and i call it the "HMS the Hug"!.. " or something like that.. (got this from book 5, chapter 4) would it be just like that?? or does it involve votings or debates??? just got really curious..

On a related note, perenelle asks for

Do you people want us Mods to attach a poll about "Which name do you prefer for the H/H ship?" Choices could be
*Pumpkin Pie
*Harmony
*the hug (read perenelle's post)

OMG, I thought I was the only one who goes giddy over pumpkin pie. Every time someone mentions pumpkin pie, I involuntarily relate it to Harry and Hermione, and I get the warm and fuzzy feeling
Pumpkin pie ties for my favorite dessert along with strawberry cheese-cake (yum) but even so, only pumpkin pie gave me that special lovey-dovy feeling
I've been bugging my parents for ages to get me pumpkin pie and my mother is getting quite a bit annoyed, not that I blame her of course...and oh yes, I love everything related to pumpkins, and even tried the Pumpkin Smash in Jamba Juice (those from U.S. should know what I'm talking about) ....it's actually pretty good...but of course, nothing is as good as pumpkin pie...except maybe cheese-cake *ducks flying pies*

Pumpkin pie rocks!
*ahem*
I reckon it's so funny in fictions (That are shipping r/hr, h/g, etc.) Have Harry and Hermione eating pumpkin pie or always have some relevance to pumpkin. eg. "I just nicked some pumpkin pie from the kitchens"
I don't think these other shippers know what their shipping!

Hehe, I've never tried the Jamba Juice one, but there's a place near me with stuff like it (a little healthier I might add) and I'll definitely try it there.
I actually like cheesecake better than any other cake. Considering that I used to not like pumpkin pie very much, I think it's really weird that I actually began to love it now. Maybe in a bit it'll become my favorite, but for now cheesecake is at the top. Don't worry

I've never eaten pumpkin pies either. Actually, I didn't know that such thing existed until I found out the name of my ship. I thought the name was funny at first. Who would call themselves some kind of food? But I don't mind the name and has actually grown a liking to it. I wouldn't say that I'd go and search for pumpkin pie because I am not a fan of pumpkins, but I will support the Pumpkin Pie and say that it rules all the way. After all, pumkin pie and Pumpkin Pie are different

Someone asked the question "Why do the R/Hr shippers have trees as their mascot?" or something very similar.
The simple matter of that is that they believe R/Hr to be canon. Canon is simply the books, which are made of paper. Paper, that comes from, you guessed it, TREES!
Personally though, I find it a bit silly to call your ship canon when it hasn't happened at all.

Because even though I love my H/Hr and Pumpkin Pie dearly, I'm one of those people who go "If J.K. wants to write H/Hr, that's fine. If she wants to write Harry/Draco slash, that's also fine. If she wants to write AllStudents/GiantSquid... She can go right ahead. They're her books, and her choice."

which ships?
here is a link that pretty much has all of them:
SCUSA Master Ship List - these are the names most widely used in the fandom
Mirtilla
Mar 1 2004, 05:25 AM
story645 there are also another names for the ships beside the one of the SCUSA list:
Harry/Hermione is also HMS Harmony at CoSforums(on Mugglenet)
Ron/Hermione is also HMS Heron at CoSforums(on Mugglenet)
Ginny/Harry is also HMS Chocolare at CoSforums(on Mugglenet)
Personally I love the name HMS Harmony, mostly because I come from CoSforums and so I was used to HMS Harmony, furtermore the name described very well Harry and Hermione relationship, HMS Pumpkin Pie it's a funny name but it's something that comes from a fanfic not from the books, so I prefer Harmony because, well, it's what is in the books.

Mirtilla, I know that.
I started on sugarquill where wolfstar is called One True Wa, so when I first saw SB/RL called wolfstar I went

, but most of the Scusa names are the most commonly accepted and well known ones in the fandom, so it is still the best place to look for the names of all the ships. Usually if you refer to a ship by its SCUSA name someone on the site will know what you are referring to.

yeah, there's too many ship out there in SCUSA. some, if not most, pairings don't make sense at all. Well, it's nice having two unique names that apply to H/Hr, though. Harmony or Pumpie Pie? Both names are nice, so I can't possibly single out one, although Harmony is very telling of our couple.

Not that I'm aware of it however it is possible that previous the first official SCUSA Threads were opened that H/Hr was refered as:The Great Ship.
But this wasn't in case a real name like HMS Pumpkin Pie but just a subjective refering to it.
But anyway we might do there anyway in time a few research, so if I look at your sig could I get your help there? Pumpkin pie is my favorite dessert too. Followed by other flavors of pies and cheesecake too. I've always loved pumpkin pie but now because of what it represents it seems to taste even better than before. And it is the only one that can give me that feeling. YUM!
I've been bugging my mom to get me a pie too. She was like "okay, sure" at first but now she's really annoyed and mad at me for continually bringing it up. Well what can I say? I WANT PUMPKIN PIE!
No matter where I am my ears perk up and my head lifts whenever I hear the words "pumpkin pie"(along with the words Harry, Hermione, Ron, Potter and any other HP words) I instantly have to know where it came from, who said it, and whether they were referring to the ship or the dessert. It's rarely the ship but I can hope, can't I? Practically no one in my school ships H/Hr (except for me and my best friend). It's ironic, really, how I can pick up a Harry Potter word in a conversation across the noisy room but when someone's screaming my name down the hall I just keep on walking, totally oblivious. I can't even hear them. Probably because my mind is filled with thoughts of Harry and Hermione and pumpkin pie.

I too find it amusing that as long as I can remember I've always loved pumpkin pie. Particularly homemade pumpkin pie.
Once I became an H/H shipper, I was quite amused to find out it was the nickname for my favorite ship.
I also find it amusing how H/H fanfics these days have taken to working in a silly little pumpkin pie reference somehow. Its a great little running gag.
