If Harry/Hermione don't end up together I still don't think I'd jump over to the R/HR ship. I just have never been able to see it as a lasting meaningful relationship potential. Maybe it's more of an adolescent crush. I mean Hermione is the first girl to be close to Ron that isn't his sister. So, I can see where that would create a crush on his part. But, I have never really seen any "crush" feelings coming from Hermione's direction towards him. A relationship developing between the two right now would seem a bit rushed as someone said previously. I have always thought that it would not seem plausible for them to have a relationship as they would both have to change their personalities and attidutes so much that they would cease to be Ron and Hermione. They would have to turn into two completely different people. And, I don't see Hermione being the type of person to change herself so drastically for any guy. Personally, I have never seen the UST people talk about. Sometimes I think that was more the doing of the COS movie with Chris Columbus talking about that the tension was between them and that's why she didn't hug Ron the end of the film (non-canon scene to begin with). So, even if H/HR doesn't happen (which would be a total shock to me after OOTP) I still wouldn't be able to see an R/HR relationship as plausible.
