Title: Time Tested, Proven True
Rating: PG-13
Comments: Just a start to an idea that's floating around in my head. It's exams week, so we'll see....

She couldn't believe this. Draco Malfoy was her challenge for the week. What did she do wrong?

Every week some of the Gryffindor girls met up at midnight on Sunday in the common room. Hermione would bring a list with the names of every fifth through seventh year male at Hogwarts. The group slowly worked their way down the list, each girl assigned a boy for that week. Their challenge was to answer the timeless question: boxers or briefs?

This week, Ginny got assigned Malfoy. She was the envy of the group, as the girls had all voiced objection to her subject. Why should she get such a devilishly handsome man?

She'd kick the bucket on this one. Only Lavendar had failed so far, and apparently the punishment was worse then the one Hermione had placed on the D.A. members.

Ginny, mulling over her plan of attack in the hallway, ran smack into something hard that, unfortunately, gave with her. She and a suit of armor went sprawling in the hallway, leaving her flustered and disoriented.

"Great job, Weasel. Jump out in front of you, did it?" Malfoy drawled as he made his way down the hallway.

Ginny just stared up at him, putting on her best puppy-dog eyes, trying to see if Malfoy had grown a heart yet. No one could ever refuse her puppy-dog eyes.

"What's wrong with your eyes, Weasel? Got something in them?" He asked, clearly missing the entire point of her look. Ginny got up, fuming.

"Nothing is wrong with my eyes," she said.

He just shrugged and began walking away. Ginny bent over, trying to see if she see any lines that might tip her off.

She was not expecting him to turn around. So when he did, she turned scarlet and tried to pass it off as if she was just picking up her bookbag.

He didn't buy it and quirked his eyebrow. "Enjoying the view, Weasel? Maybe you can see it up close one day. I could always use a good shag."

He walked off with a cackle, Ginny making a point to look directly at the floor. Not only had she achieved nothing, she was feeling little butterflies in her stomach that should not be there...
