Jan 5 2005, 01:25 PM
I just had an e-mail interaction with a friend who said that he never read HP and would never want to (he actually said that he hated HP, but retracted that when I said it was rather moot to hate something you had actually never read)...
Oh, well, his loss, but to cheer myself up I went along and voted for: jumping up and down shouting "I knew it!". It will be such a sweet triumph when that happens.
As I don't debate my ship with people from other ships (being of a v. sensitive nature), I won't rub it in anyone's face, but I will definitely wear a big grin onn my face for a year, and read the wonderful passages of H/Hr fluff directly from the pen of JKR over, and over, and over, and over again....

Well, I voted for 'jumping up and down shouting "I know it!" but that's not entirely true. I'd most likely not jump up and down, depending on where I'd be reading it. If I was in my room though, I might do a little dance. And I'd scream. Loud. I mean, probably so loud the police might drop by to make sure everything is alright. Then I'd dance again. lol
Pamina, that's sad he hates HP. I feel sorry for him. But, what can you do, right? lol
Cheers!

Yeah it's kind of sad about Pamina's friend. He's missing out on the best books ever written.
I guess he can go on the "I dont care" vote.

I Know! one of my closest friends haven't read the books, even though I have recommended them (I tell her, if you like anime and mangam you'll love HP, but she doesn't read them because she says that there's too much commercialization with the movies and everything.. too bad she found out about the books after the movie boom, although I still don't lose hope that she'll read them eventually). That's why I love the internet, 'cause I get to talk with fantastic people like everyone here about HP, since my friends here don't read the books (I only had a classmate in college that was also reading them, and we talked a bit). I guess my friends would be in the "I dont care" category or something. My sister has read until book 4, but she's not such a big fan like I am. I bought book 5 in english (the only one in english I have so far) but she didn't read them. When the spanish version came out, I bought it for me and my dad because he likes HP very much, but I don't think he ships, so when he and I finished reading the spanish version, I lend it to her, but she is still in the part when Harry goes to trial or something, so I doubt she has shipping preferences, although she support my comments on H/Hr, I don't think she is like me, expecting an answer on that front. SO she would also be in the "I don't care category" most likely.

I voted for: Jump up and down shouting "I knew it" because that's the type of person I am lol

...
I'll probably be jumping up and down screaming on my bed and the running around the house screaming and shouting, "I knew it! I KNEW IT!!" My parents will probably think I'm weird because they don't know about my HHR obsession, but that won't worry me at all! Then I'll go annoy my sister, who doesn't like Harry Potter, but has to put up with me talking about it 24/7 lol
I'll probably be screaming days afterwards lol ... and I will not be able to stop smiling.

I would jump up and down and scream "I knew it, I knew it" - then I'd run to my friend Jess who has a similar H/Hr obsession and we'd jump up and down together, screaming and laughing.
It would be bliss!

I cant believe that in a matter of months, we'll know if we get to jump up and down in excitement.
Oh sure if H/Hr are meant to be together (and they are) then a relationship probably wont happen until book seven. But in book six we are finally going to see if Harry is going to get romantic feelings for Hermione.
Oh I hope I get to jump up and down this summer. Even if they dont become a couple in HBP, if Harry falls in love with her in HBP, I'll jump and shout "I knew it"

Well, I am the *eve-il* type so I would go and make sure that every R/Hr shipper out there is lamenting and mouring and wondering how on EARTH they could have been so freaking blind as to not see the love that exists between Harry and Hermione but, since this option wasn't available and I am the only H/Hr shipper among my friends and family, I'll probably be outnumbered... and being the chicken (cluck, cluck) that I am, I would have to go with "Jumping up and down and screaming, 'I knew it!'.

I agree with you somewhat. Mainly cause if Ginny or Luna don't get together with Harry by HBP then I'd say that those ships will have sunk in canon and that will pretty much just leave Hermione unless Cho somehow gets back on the scene.
Harmione2004
Jan 13 2005, 03:16 PM
I doubt Cho will come back to Harry's life romantically, J.K said it was better to end it early, so I think it's over. Unless she comes back to hurt Hermione and Harry. Revenge of the ex-girlfriend.
But again if H/Hr aren't in a relationship together in book 6, but have fallen in love with each other, I'll still jump up and down shouting with happiness.

I picked jumping up and down hullaballoo. But if it happened, I would be screaming around the house, and MOST DEFINATELY rub it in my friends' faces due to the fact that they're Ron and Hermione shippers.
I have a feeling that Harry and Hermione will get together in HBP....but...I heard that someone also dies in the sixth book.
I heard it was Hermione.

Angel Of Fire, could I ask you where you heard about Hermione dying in book 6? Not that I don't believe this to be possible, it is one of my greatest concerns because Hermione is often not thought of possibly dying. Though, I am intrigued by the fact that JKR had been cagey when talking about the time turner and it's possible use again (in my opinion, when JKR is being cagey and vague, it means that it's very possible that it will not only come up again but be important).

What I heard on the net is that after talking about Ron dying with J.K, she said "Why isn't any one worried about Hermione?".
It may not be a true quote, but thats how I heard it started.
Also it's said that in WA everyone seems to be worried about Hermione. I'm one of them, being from WA.
Please dont let her die J.K.

I think that comment says more about the lack of support among fans of series for Hermione's character. It seems from her comments (and this is only my interpretation of the comments) about the subject that she feels that the majority of the fans don't care if Hermione dies or not. She's said in interviews that she receives tons of fan mail asking her not to kill Ron but hardly any for Hermione.
I chose the jump up and down screaming I knew it option. Since I live alone it will probably make me seem crazy to the neighbors ( but I'm sure they felt that way when I kept yelling, "No you can't kill so and so" and a few other choice phrases while reading OotP).

Oh and angel_of_fire I'm confident too, after reading OoP I had no doubt in my mind. And after reading the "Everyone is in love with the wrong person" quote, and the quote where J.K said one of the reasons Harry is a boy is because of Hremione.

I dunno if this goes with the quote or not, but if I'm in the car with a friend who knows my H/hr obsession and a sweet/love song comes on, I'll start talking her ear off with how I think it fits HHr perfectly and stuff. Poor thing, she tries to follow what I'm saying, but she's not that passionate. I always tell my friends about quotes in the books that hint at HHr and they try to run away. Me too! Gosh, H/Hr and shipping in general has corrupted me, for the better may I add. I watched PoA again today (I stayed home from school) and was enveloped in a squee-fest. Kate J was right about the "Harry & Hermione sweet music" -- I actually heard the same theme over and over again everytime they were together or when Lupin mentioned something that had to do with Lily. What you were hearing was "A Window to the Past." It's a beautiful piece of music...I listen to it all the time on my PoA soundtrack. I actually noticed that the song was played whenever Harry and Lupin were onscreen in general. There were moments when it played and H/Hr were onscreen, but usually it involved Harry talking to Lupin. Sometimes they were talking about Lily and sometimes they weren't, so I'm not quite sure it's foreshadowing. Besides, if you listen to the whole thing, it sounds so sad.

Yeah I noticed that too. But, everytime I heard it when he was with Lupin, they were talking about something that concerned Lily. Like, on the bridge and even when Harry asked Lupin to help him defend himself against the Dementors. The way that instance concerned Lily [in a way] is Lupin was talking about why Harry was so effected - the events of that fateful night that cost Lily and James their lives. I could be reaching at that theory, but its still probable.

Love this music also. I sometimes play the dvd and start at the credits just to listen to this music.I don't really find it sad, maybe solemn but still sweet. At least now I know it's name.

Thanks
Just in case anybody is interested it can heard at the following scenes:
- Lupin and Harry bridge scene
- Lupin and Harry near lake where Harry ask to be thought the patronus charm.
- Lupin and Harryat the astronomy tower after the Patronus lesson
- Timeturning Harry and Hermione at the edge of dark forest , Harry telling Hermione about sirius invitation to live with him instread with the dursleys.
- Sirius- Harry talk before Sirius and buckebeak scape.
- not sure but i think it was also played when Sirius was inviting Harry to come live with him, before Lupin turned to a werewolf.
