“Mr. Potter, it is time to discuss that ring of yours."
Harry knew this conversation was coming sooner or later, and if he was honest it was alot later than he had expected. He thought that as soon as it showed any powers at all, Dumbledore would have had him take it off and he'd have to go through the whole conversation then.
"I haven't taken it from you for one simple reason."
"What's that Sir?" Harry asked, unable to control himself. Even Hermione, who was still very shaken leant forward in anticipation of the answer.
"It was your Fathers, as you already know, but it was made for you."
"Me? Why?"
"Isn't obvious Harry?" Hermione said looking at him as though it was written on his forehead, "You need it."
"What for?!"
"The approaching war with Voldemort Harry. It's coming, and we need to have the advantage of that ring. I'm positive that you've noticed all of your senses becoming more tuned. Your powers increasing? You're becoming the most formidable source of power in the world. And we need that to win. Without you, the ring would be useless, but, it is not at it's full capacity yet."
"It's not?"
"No. There is something else that makes it alot more effective. Something that you already have, but something you're denying Harry. You need to accept it, and embrace it."
"What is it?" Hermione almost whispered.
"The love of his Soul Mate."

yeah that rocks! and it ties in with the fact that the ring had already burned itself into harry. of course it hasn't been discussed that the ring is now part of harry, so dumbledore wouldn't know! the old man doesn't know everything! Harry wins again!

Dumbledor nodded, his eyes twinkling, "Yes Harry. It's that love that will make you complete."
Harry knew right then who Dumbledore was talking about. Hermion... He didn't know if he should look at Hermione. What would she say, or do? Worse yet, what was he going to say? Dumbledore had trapped him.
Harry fumed. Not fair.
Dumbledore pulled Harry away from where he was, placing his hands on his shoulders and leaned down, speaking softly so only Harry could hear. "Don't push her away anymore, Harry. Don't be afraid to be loved, and to love back."

wonderful fluffy filler, but i am so confused right now its not even funny. one moment we're talking about a ring, that had already burned itself into harry's body, then the love of his soulmate; while admittedly was a nice touch and could easily tie in with anything else we do considering nobody ever laid down the ground rules for that ring. (I'm so glad i burned it into harry. it really hurts when you punch some on with a ring on. feels like you broke your finger) but can there be any clarification? I'm 20 here, i dont pick up on things as fast as i used to.

So ol'Dumble here has given this fact about H/Hr having to come true. Also, there's been that thing about the "Power of Love" in the DoM (the locked door) in OotP.
So, that kinda ties in, and when they confess their love to each other, prolly they can defeat ol'Moldypants.

Dumbledore continued as if nothing had happened. “With the ring at full power, you will be able to vanquish Voldemort,” said Dumbledore casually.
“Well, now that that’s settled, I guess it’s time for you to go back to your dormitories,” said Dumbledore. “And Mr. Potter, it would be for the best if you were consistent on those Defence meetings of yours. We never know when they’ll come in handy.”

Harry and Hermione left the office, Hermione confused and Harry with millions of thoughts running about his head.
How does he know about me fancying Hermione when I even don’t know? Wait. Did I think that I fancy Hermione? Don’t think that way Potter, she’s your best friend.
They walked to the Gryffindor Tower silently, only stopping to mutter the password. They both clambered in, and found Ron by the fireplace.
How does he know? Has he been spying? The dirty old geezer…
Dumbledore didn’t know about the ring burning into Harry’s finger. Harry looked at it, and found his finger glowing, glowing in a dull green.
Hermione and Ron were chatting about the match, about both of their performances. They did not notice Harry staring at his hand. I have to continue DA… there might be more attacks. The Hogsmeade one might just have been a tester… We need to concentrate on the Patronus…
Harry said that he was tired and that he needed to turn in. Both of them a bit disappointed, but they let him ago. Harry jogged up the spiral staircase, opened the door to his dormitory, and took out the Golden Galleon. Dust had accumulated over the past few weeks. He adjusted the dials on the Galleon, and felt it warming up.

Anyway, here's a post from me,

Harry pushed that thought into the back of his mind and tried to get to sleep, despite the noise from the common room. Just as he was about to try one last time, he heard the noise begin to fade and the door creak open....
Harry grabbed his wand and said dangerously,
"Who's there?"
Then he heard,
"Harry, it's me Ron." Harry sighed in relief and said,
"Ron, you shouldn't do that. I could've jinxed you right there." Ron laughed a little bit and said slyly,
"So, I heard from Ginny, you kissed Hermione. I thought you just wanted to be friends?" Harry felt himself blush again and Ron said,
"Don't worry about it, I think you two are perfect for each other. I mean, the way you two look at each other, it's meant to be." Harry raised his eyebrows,
"When did you believe in True Love?" Ron shrugged,
"When I first laid eyes on Luna."
Harry rolled his eyes and said, "Good night Ron." He closed the curtains around him and laid back, staring at the ceiling. He closed his eyes, when the ring brightened a deep red, Harry saw memories of him and Hermione.
But the one memory that shown above else, was when Hermione fell in the Department of Mysteries.

But it could be too late..
Harry pushed that thought into the back of his mind and tried to get to sleep, despite the noise from the common room. Just as he was about to try one last time, he heard the noise begin to fade and the door creak open....
Harry grabbed his wand and said dangerously,
"Who's there?"
Then he heard,
"Harry, it's me Ron." Harry sighed in relief and said,
"Ron, you shouldn't do that. I could've jinxed you right there." Ron laughed a little bit and said slyly,
"So, I heard from Ginny, you kissed Hermione. I thought you just wanted to be friends?" Harry felt himself blush again and Ron said,
"Don't worry about it, I think you two are perfect for each other. I mean, the way you two look at each other, it's meant to be." Harry raised his eyebrows,
"When did you believe in True Love?" Ron shrugged,
"When I first laid eyes on Luna."
Harry rolled his eyes and said, "Good night Ron." He closed the curtains around him and laid back, staring at the ceiling. He closed his eyes, when the ring brightened a deep red, Harry saw memories of him and Hermione.
But the one memory that shown above else, was when Hermione fell in the Department of Mysteries.

Yeah, sorry about that... I've been away from the comp for a while, on a RL break of sorts. And as you can tell... it didn't last long.

Anyways, I might not have time to get online as often after this week, since homework is piling on top of each other. Even though I don't have school till March
120 pages of math per week, 20 pages of science and 20 pages of Korean.. nightmare.

It's been over two weeks, and not one post since HB??? Now that's plain wrong!
I come back expecting to see loads of posts, and the story almost tied up, but instead I come and find... nothing.
Come on people, where are you all? I mean, I know I haven't exactly been here much for the past few weeks, but RL stuff's getting in the way.
OK, as I haven't posted for a while, I'll be a good little girl and post for you wonderfulous people.
Here goes;

'What am I going to do?' He asked himself fearfully as he bolted up in his bed drenched in a cold sweat one last time. 'I can't keep doing this. I have to know she can't be hurt. Somehow.'

Mod Note: Okay everyone, we really need to wrap up this story. I don't care how it gets done, but it needs to be done. Bec and I have been talking it over, and we're planning on submitting this story in the fanfic site (don't know when). But since we're in a slow process anyways, it seems kinda useless to keep this lingering.

Yeah, as you might have guessed I've been having a little break from net life really... my RL has been very screwed up lately (as Kris knows) but now, I've decided to come back and try to get back to normal... well... as normal as I can get that is. *Giggle*

*Laughs* Yeah, it is weird isn't it? Hehe. Even though I've been a mod in here since the begining I still feel wierd posting MOD NOTES. I think it's probably because we haven't really had to be that mod-like here... *Shrug* Just a hunch. Heh.

As Kris said we've been talking over the submitting of the fic onto the fic side, but if we don't finish it, we can't... simple as that.
Now I'm going to start comiling it all together... again, and kinda proof read it. Filling in any plot holes (Where on earth did that dragon go???) and changing any maojorly obvious spelling mistakes. (Do you want the English or American spellings? :confused:)
Then I figure we send the whole finished story to an impartial beta and get them to look over it.
Once all that's done we'll send it to get approved and then up onto the fic side.
Sound good?
OK, now, heres the plea to get this tied up ASAP.

Sorry I can't post, too busy with exams coming up in about two weeks... have to get used to Korean stuff. Hate that subject "Morals" and "Chinese Characters.(漢文 XD)"

Harry's determined to protect Hermione no matter what. He had already thought of moving away from her but that would do him no good. He knows that Voldemort would be after her because she's his best friend. Everyone that's important to him is in danger, especially her. These thought clouded Harry's mind as he he made his way to the great hall to meet his friends. Hermione sat next to Ginny right across from Ron. A seat next to her saved and he knew who it was for.
Hermione saw him coming and waved at him to come over. no signs of the previous events were showing on her face. Danger was lurking, Harry knew that but for whatever reason he felt safe and calm when he's with her.

hey bec... I missed you guys a lot... I work on computers everyday that sometimes it's tiring to use my PC at home but I promise to get back on my writing. I have two stories pending plus I miss portkey forums a lot... Hopefully I can be active on the web during weekends... or when I get home from work and I can't sleep yet... Well I'll try to add more to this probably on the weekend...

When I'm at work in the school holidays, I'm in an office I'm on computers all day. From 8:30am til 5pm. It can be a bit *bleugh* to come online after work, but I always do when I can. I just can't leave this place for any length of time... it's addictive! Even when I'm on a RL break I pop in every time I'm online to see how everyone is. *Giggle* I just can't help myself.
Anyway, anyone feel like making little ol' me a very happy person?
